Apple unveils its first-ever store in Malaysia, providing an immersive retail experience and celebrating local creativity
Apple will open its first retail store in Malaysia at The Exchange TRX on June 22, 2024. The store spans two floors, with entrances on the first and second floors of the mall. Additionally, there is an entrance from the mall’s rooftop park, where its unique layered roof is visible. The interior features a sculptural quartz and glass staircase, natural materials, and a bright, airy atmosphere.
On the first floor, visitors will find a wide range of Apple products, including the iPhone 15 lineup, HomePods, AirPods, Macs, iPads, and Apple Watch. Up on the second floor, a dedicated event space hosts Today at Apple sessions, where customers can learn new skills. Additionally, the second floor features dedicated areas for Apple TV, iPad covers, keyboards, and other related accessories. On the opposite wall, another section houses AirPods, iPhone cases, Apple Arcade and gaming accessories.

To celebrate the opening, a special Today at Apple series, ‘Jom Discover,’ will run from June 22 to July 6, featuring workshops with Malaysian content creators. During these interactive sessions, customers can learn how to take stunning portraits using the advanced camera features of the iPhone 15 or how to create engaging videos using iMovie.
The TRX outlet will feature the country’s first Genius Bar, a technical support service from Apple. This concierge-style service offers face-to-face support from specially trained and certified experts, referred to as ‘Geniuses’. They provide personalised guidance to customers, helping resolve a wide range of technical issues with Apple products.
There will also be a dedicated pickup counter at the store, making it easier for customers to order products online and pick them up when it’s most convenient.

The tech giant will also offer exclusive discounts on Mac and iPad purchases for students and families through Apple Education Pricing. For example, eligible customers can take advantage of the university student offer running through September 30 and receive AirPods when they buy an eligible Mac or an Apple Pencil when they buy an eligible iPad.
Apple’s decision to open a store in Malaysia is part of its ongoing effort to increase sales in Asia, outside of China. The company already has stores in several other Asian locations, such as Singapore and Thailand.
