1. Wan Qing Festival of Spring 2023

What: Celebrate the festival of Spring with family-friendly activities, engaging temple and heritage trails, and storytelling sessions. Soak in all things auspicious at the lion and dragon dance performance on January 22, along with a visit from the God of Fortune himself.
Inspired Tatlings may take part in the lion dance workshop, where they learn basic dance movements from the professionals. They even get to try on miniature lion dance costumes.

2. We Will Rock You the Musical

What: Fans of British rock band Queen are in for a real treat this month. The critically acclaimed musical We Will Rock You arrives on Singapore shores to bring the spirit of rock n roll to local audiences.
The musical will feature 24 beloved songs of Queen, including Radio Ga Ga, I Want to Break Free, Bohemian Rhapsody, and Another One Bites the Dust.

3. Singapore Art Week 2023
What: Singapore’s biggest art event of the year is back with over 130 art events across the island. Head down to the Civic District, Marina Bay, Bras Basah Bugis among many other locations for a day of art and creativity.
The 10-day event features artworks and exhibitions including Wild Flowers by Robert Zhao Renhui and Pictures in the Mind with features memories in relation to one of Singapore’s oldest shopping malls, Peace Centre. Art collecters (budding and seasoned) may head down to S.E.A. Focus by STPI–Creative Workshop and Gallery.

4. Marina Bay Sands Lunar New Year Celebrations

What: Head down to Marina Bay Sands to soak in the festivities this Chinese New Year. Apart from lavish set-menus and rabbit-themed goodies, mark your calendars for January 18.
The evening light up event will take place at 7.30pm, offering a festive display of golden bunnies, a lion dance performance, and giant pink petals.

6. Art SG
What: Marina Bay Sands will play host to Southeast Asia’s largest art fair this month. Expect a turnout of 150 art galleries from around the world bringing dynamic, unique, and exceptional artworks with them. Paintings, sculptures, photography, installations, and the new kids on the block–digital and blockchain art–will be on sale at the fair.
Prominent galleries at the fair include Art Front Gallery, Tokyo, 1Projects, Bangkok, Galerie Julien Cadet, Paris, and Klemm’s, Berlin.

7. Hop into Fun at Universal Studios Singapore
What: Lo Hei at Singapore’s biggest amusement park this month. Ring in the Year of the Rabbit with your favourite characters including Puss in Boots, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Woody Woodpecker at the park’s meet and greet sessions.
Fans of Illumination’s Minions will get to see Kevin in his customised bunny outfit. Stay on with extended weekend opening hours and catch the Dance of the Dragon featuring a neon dragon and dancers wearing eye-catching LED lights.

8. Singapore Sail Grand Prix
What: International sailing competition SailGP comes to Singapore shores as the lion city hosts the region’s first Sail Grand Prix. Sailing fans get to see nine hydrofoiling F50 catamarans on Singapore waters for the first time.
You can even bring your own boat to watch the action unfold with SailGP’s Bring Your Own Boat programme.

9. Hamamoto X Restaurant Zén collaboration
What: One-Michelin-starred Hamamoto and three-Michelin-starred Restaurant Zén join hands for two nights only. A celebration of seasonal produce, the collaboration brings a four-hands dinner made from seasonal produce.
