At The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, light took on new meaning on the evening of September 20 as guests gathered for The Eye Ball 2025: Illuminate—the Singapore National Eye Centre’s (SNEC) annual charity gala in support of eye health and the prevention of vision loss.
Held in celebration of SNEC’s 35th anniversary, the event lived up to its theme of radiance in every sense. The ballroom shimmered with neon hues and black-tie polish, setting the stage for a night where glamour met genuine purpose. Guests explored interactive installations like Idea Ink’s Neon Walk and the Light Painting Photo Booth, while luminous cocktails by Hopscotch and fine wines from CornerStone Wines kept spirits high.
The evening’s programme balanced sophistication with sentiment. A live auction, Auction Illumina, presented an impressive lineup of treasures—from fine art to dream getaways—all in the name of raising funds for VisionSave and the Singapore Eye Bank. The Power Pledge moment, calling on guests to light up lives through corneal transplantation and sight restoration support, proved a poignant reminder of the evening’s cause.
Entertainment came courtesy of familiar names from Singapore’s creative scene. Music direction by local singer-songwriter and playwright Dick Lee lent the evening its rhythm, while performances by Golden Age Talentime 2024 champion James Quan kept the energy luminous.
