Bring the family down to The Palawan @ Sentosa as the highly anticipated HyperDrive has opened, offering Asia’s first indoor gamified electric go-kart circuit. The three-level indoor circuit stretches 308 metres long and is enhanced with sound and lighting effects for a fully immersive experience. 13. Check out exhibitions at Science Centre Singapore

Who said learning about science had to be boring? At Science Centre Singapore, look forward to 14 galleries featuring various interactive exhibits. Learn about climate change through immersive gameplay before being mesmerised by a five-metre-tall globe installation. Don’t miss out on the Fire Tornado Show, a daily demonstration where trained professionals recreate a fire tornado in a specially built chamber.

14. Fly a kite at Marina Barrage

Spend the evening at Marina Barrage’s Green Roof by having a picnic and flying kites while admiring the panoramic view of the bay area. Come early and save yourselves a spot, as the barrage can get crowded in the evening.

While you’re here, visit the Solar Park too, comprising over 400 solar panels that provide the electricity needed for lighting at the barrage in the day. One of the largest collections of solar panels around the island, the park is also a showcase for Singapore’s push for a greener country.

15. Explore the Future World exhibition at ArtScience Museum

ArtScience Museum’s permanent exhibition and digital playground, Future World, is sure to get your kids entertained for a few hours. Find a collection of digital interactive instalments, created in collaboration with renowned international art collective, TeamLab. Use your imagination to create unique sea creatures before walking through a digital flower field.

Check out its newest installation too, Aerial Climbing, an interactive artwork featuring horizontal bars of different colours, projection, light and sound. As the bars are linked together, different movements will create different effects—making everyone’s experience a unique one.

16. Beat the heat with a snow day

While we may not get snow in Singapore, a trip to Snow City is sure to make up for it. At this winter wonderland, find a range of activities from 60-metre-long snow slopes to bumper car arenas. Don’t forget to check out its latest addition too—the Winter Shooting Arena offers paintball sessions with a spin.

17. Learn about Singapore’s history at Fort Canning Park

Explore Fort Canning Park and its various colonial-era relics as you learn more about how the area helped defend the island over the years. While you’re here, look out for the Jubilee Park too. 20. Get in touch with nature with a rooftop farm experience

Learn how everything in nature is connected at The Sundowner’s rooftop farm experience. During the two-hour session, get to know more about undergrown critters, fruiting plants and even bees. You will even get to put on a bee suit and observe them as they forage from flower to flower.

21. Walk among the dinosaurs

Ever wondered what it was like during the dinosaur era? Head down to Changi Airport Connector and find out. Here, you will find Changi Jurassic Mile, the island’s largest permanent outdoor display of over 20 different life-sized dinosaurs. From towering Tyrannosaurus Rex to hatching dinosaur eggs, these prehistoric creatures are sure to excite your kids, despite the one-kilometre walk.

22. Race to the finish line

Adrenaline-loving families can head to Skyline Luge Sentosa for a gravity-fuelled ride. Race down four courses while catching the scenic view of Sentosa island in its three-wheeled Luge carts. Visit during golden hour and catch the sunset, or visit after sundown and watch the circuit light up.

23. Create a masterpiece

From glass painting to crotchet, Sage Artelier offers an array of workshops for both kids and adults. Their Air Dry Clay workshop is a favourite among many. Recommended for ages five and above, this workshop will give you an insight into claywork. Get to create your own piece through various ceramic techniques, from coiling to glazing. You’ll even get to bring your pieces home at the end of the day.
