Quiet your inner critic

Signs most affected: Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces

Venus, the planet of love, beauty, and value leaves exuberant Leo for much-more-muted Virgo on Monday. In the sign of the Virgin, Venus denotes an appreciation for quieter expressions that are useful over merely attention-grabbing. Still, an uneasy contact between this sensual planet and Jupiter mid-week poses a risk of overdoing it. Avoid cleaning out the whole drugstore or taking too many vitamins in the name of practicality and health. Try not to smother people with your desire to help.

Listen more to your instincts

Signs most affected: Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn

Asteroid Pallas Athena moves into Cancer on Tuesday, bringing feminine wisdom, sensitivity, and authority into the protective territory. Listening skills and intuitions can be deployed to give space and recognition to powerful emotions. Past trespasses and grievances, for example, may finally get a fair hearing and acknowledgement. In order to move into the future, the past and the present will have to be understood and integrated. Yield to those harnessing this energy to speak up for themselves or others.

A time for contemplation

Signs most affected: Taurus, Capricorn, Pisces

Saturday’s Pisces Full Moon draws a line under the streamlining and simplifying of life’s details that we have been engaged with since late August. At this time, the focus shifts to higher spiritual planes and all that we cannot clearly make sense of. Joining forces with the marriage asteroid Juno, the Full Moon brings insights over the next two weeks about what we do and don’t have control over and the universal love that ultimately gives meaning to our days. Mercury enters retrograde on the same day, supporting our deep thinking and reflecting over the next three weeks.
