After legendary film director Steven Spielberg won a Grammy Award for Best Musical Film, he became one of only a few dozen people in history to win all four Grand Slam awards: the Emmy, Grammy, Oscars, and Tony Awards (EGOT).
Steven Spielberg, the 79-year-old filmmaker, celebrated one of the biggest achievements in the music industry's history by winning his first Grammy Award for Best Music Film for his documentary "Music by John Williams " (2024). He also served as producer for the film. This win makes Spielberg the 22nd person in entertainment history to win all four major Grammy Awards.
'EGOT' is often hailed as the grand slam of the entertainment industry, a list that includes only global icons such as Audrey Hepburn, Mel Brooks, Elton John, and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
For Spielberg, this Grammy is the final piece of the puzzle that completes his path to the greatest awards, after he previously won 3 Oscars, 12 Emmy Awards, and one Tony Award for producing the Broadway musical A Strange Loop.
