包含Selena Gomez在內的《Emilia Perez》的四名女主角同享「最佳女主角」的榮譽，為本屆康城影展畫上完美句點。

隨着2024年康城影展進入尾聲，眾人期待的獎項得主也逐一揭曉。同名時尚品牌旗下的Saint Laurent Production製作的三部長篇中，音樂黑色喜劇片《Emilia Perez》榮獲正式競賽單元的「最佳女演員」獎項，由四名女主演——Selena Gomez、Adriana Paz、Zoe Saldaña、Karla Sofía Gascón——共同獲得。而這也是Selena Gomez首度在康城影展獲獎。

《Emilia Pérez》由獲獎無數的法國導演Jacques Audiard打造，講述一名在逃墨西哥毒販首領Juan "Small Hands" Del Monte（Karla Sofía Gascón 飾）決定完成他設想多年的計畫——實施變性手術。在這期間，他委託因協助犯人逃脫法律制裁而知名的律師Rita（Zoe Saldaña 飾），幫助自己退出販毒集團並完成這一重大轉變，以Emilia Pérez的名義重生。
