Celebrate Ramadan at these vibrant bazaars around the island, with each market offering a mix of traditional foods, trendy fashion and engaging cultural activities
Ramadan begins on March 1 this year, ushering in a month of worship and reflection for Muslims around the world. In Singapore, this holy month also marks the return of vibrant bazaars lined with street food and retail vendors.
This year, instead of solely visiting the well-known Kampong Gelam and Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaars, why not explore some of the smaller markets as well? During this period, the island comes alive with numerous bazaars from the bustling heartlands including Woodlands all the way down to Orchard Road.
Below, we share some of the most exciting bazaars in Singapore to check out this Ramadan.

1. Kampong Gelam Ramadan Bazaar

Running from now until March 25, Gemilang Kampong Gelam Ramadan Bazaar’s fifth edition brings together 120 food and retail vendors. Indulge in a range of food options including traditional dishes like lemang (a dish comprising glutinous rice, coconut milk and salt), satay skewers and Turkish ice cream. The bazaar has also introduced various activities this year, including a Kampong Charity Run, batik painting workshops and more.
2. Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar

From February 26 to March 31, head to Wisma Geylang Serai and find 150 food stalls serving up a range of dishes from traditional Malay snacks to innovative fusion cuisine. Along with food and beverage vendors, the bazaar will also be lined with 350 retail stalls selling clothing, home decor, festive decorations and more.
3. Bazaar Raya Utara @ Woodlands

Explore an array of festive foods and goods at this bazaar from now until March 29. Located opposite Admiralty station, the bazaar will offer rows of food and beverage stalls serving up both traditional and modern culinary delights. While you’re here, don’t forget to check out its retail vendors and find stylish Raya outfits, home decor, festive gifts and more.
4. Me-You Market Eid Core

Returning for its seventh edition, this bazaar Is loved for bringing together top retail brands from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Find over 65 popular fashion brands including Malaysian footwear brand Machino, Indonesian fashion brand Dama Kara, and Malaysian jewellery brand Molinja. When you feel peckish, head to one of the bazaar’s eight food and beverage booths for a quick pick-me-up. This year’s edition runs from now until February 23.
5. Bazaar Marsiling

Happening from February 27 to March 28, Bazaar Marsiling features a mix of traditional and modern food vendors, retail stores and live performances. The market is also complete with spacious seating areas and an air-conditioned section.
