From Blackpink to the Arctic Monkeys, music fans are spoilt for choice this 2023 as concerts are back with a bang this year
There is no better way to welcome the bright new year than with good music. In 2023, international stars are set to grace the Filipino stage with unforgettable performances—a sweet treat after the years-long hiatus from live concerts. As pandemic guidelines become less stringent, fans can finally witness acts from K-pop groups like ITZY, Enhypen, and Blackpink and groove to pop hits from Ne-yo, The Vamps, Backstreet Boys, Carly Rae Jepsen, and more.

1. ITZY 'The 1st World Tour': Checkmate (Jan. 14 and 15)
Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna of ITZY are coming to Manila for a two-night tour. Last November 13, 2022, Live Nation Philippines revealed that the group added a second date to their upcoming Checkmate concert in Manila. This is in addition to the initial dates announced for their Southeast Asian leg.
ITZY's Checkmate tour is set for Saturday, January 14, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. According to sources, tickets for the first night sold out shortly after they went on sale to the public on November 12, 2022. The organisers have added January 15, 2023, to the tour dates.

2. NE-YO (Jan. 23)
Calling all 'Ms Independents'! Legendary R&B singer Ne-Yo is coming to town with their classic hits such as So Sick, Because of You, Mad, and Sexy Love. He will also perform new songs from his recently released eighth album Self-Explanatory.
His show will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on January 23, 2023, at 6 pm and 9 pm.

3. ENHYPEN 'Manifesto' World Tour (Feb. 4-5)
Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki will make their Manila Engenes swoon. The boy band's Future Perfect concert will be held in the SM Mall of Asia arena on February 4 and 5 2023.
4. The Vamps ‘Greatest Hits Tour’ (Feb. 17)
The Vamps are back in the Philippines on February 17 for their Greatest Hits Tour! To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the band will perform at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

5. Conan Gray (Feb. 18)
Heather and Wish You Were Sober singer Conan Gray will lull our hearts as he brings the Superache tour to the Philippines. In November 2022, concert organizer Live Nation Philippines announced that the artist will be performing at the Mall of Asia Arena on February 18, 2023.

6. Backstreet Boys 'DNA World Tour' (Feb. 20)
The Backstreet Boys will never play games with our hearts. One of the world's best-selling bands will bring their highly-anticipated DNA World Tour to Southeast Asia including Japan, Manila, and Singapore.
Their performance, which will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on February 20, 2023, comes after the group's global success and sold-out shows in North America, South America, and Europe.

7. Westlife 'The Wild Dreams Tour' (Feb. 20 and 21)
Irish pop vocal group Westlife is coming back to the Philippines for their Wild Dreams Tour on February 20 and 21, 2023. The initial announcement was made earlier in 2022 via Twitter. "To all our fans in the Philippines and Indonesia, we are thrilled to announce that we will be playing shows in Manila and Jakarta early next year," the band on their official Twitter page.
In another tweet, Westlife revealed that they have decided to add one more date for Manila after its first show sold out in just three days. "We're so thrilled to announce that due to demand we've added a new date in the Philippines! Tickets for our new show at the Araneta Coliseum will go on sale on the 18th of June. We'll see you there," the boys announced.

8. Carly Rae Jepsen and PHOENIX 'Wanderland: The Comeback' (March 4 and 5)
In a surprising post, event organiser Karpos Multimedia revealed that Call Me Maybe singer Carly Rae Jepsen is headlining the Wanderland Music & Arts Festival with iconic French indie band PHOENIX on March 4 and 5, 2023. The upcoming festival will mark Carly Rae’s return to the Philippines since her Dedicated world tour in 2019.
Aside from Carly Rae and PHOENIX, the Wanderland fest lineup also includes fan favourites Men I Trust, No Rome, Stephen Day, Balming Tiger, george, BLASTER, Leo Wang, August Wahh, The Sundown, and Sunset Rollercoaster.

9. Arctic Monkeys (March 6)
You bet they look good on the dance floor! British indie rock band Arctic Monkeys is set to have its Philippine debut on March 6, 2023. The concert, which will be held at Muntinlupa City's Filinvest City Events Grounds in Alabang, will feature Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Matt Helders and Nick O'Malley, who are known for their albums Favourite Worst Nightmare (2007), Suck It And See (2011), AM (2013), and The Car (2022).

10. Harry Styles: Love on Tour (March 14)

This is your chance to hear Grammy's best pop vocal album of the year live. In 2023, fans of British pop artist Harry Styles will witness one spectacular show as he brings "Love on Tour" to the Philippines.
The Philippines will be the second city on the Asian leg of his tour as he performs at the Philippine Arena on March 14, 2023, three days after his Thailand performance.

11. BLACKPINK (March 25 and 26)
Calling all Filipino BLINKS! Korean idols Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé are set to burn the stage and turn everyone pink. The girls announced the stops for their upcoming "Born Pink" world tour and the Philippines is one of them. They are set to perform in Seoul, South Korea in October, followed by their concerts in the United States, Europe, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Philippines, Singapore, and more. This marks the second time that the group will have a concert in the country.
The concert they have for Filipino fans will be held at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on March 25 and 26, 2023.

12. The 1975 (May 3)
The 1975 is coming to Manila for a two-day tour. The performance, which will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on May 3 and 4 2023, features lead vocalist Matthew Healy, lead guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald, and drummer George Daniel.

13. HONNE: Warm On A Cold Night (May 10)
HONNE are coming back to the Philippines for the fifth time for their Warm On A Cold Night act. The duo announced the news on Monday, February 13, that they will hold one-night shows in Manila, Cebu, and Davao.
"Asia! We are incredibly excited to announce our May 2023 Asia tour. It’s been almost 4 years since we’ve visited many of you, so this will be a special one," HONNE said.
