Brothers Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher have put aside their infamous feud to form Oasis again. They are set to return to the stage in 2025

In one of the biggest twists in recent musical history, Britpop royalty Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher have put aside their differences to announce the reunion of their band, Oasis, which will perform live next summer.

The long 15-year feud that broke up the Mancunian group—started by last-minute concert cancellations and Noel leaving because of issues with Liam—is finally over. The pair announced it on Instagram with this message: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

They announced their upcoming tour, Oasis Live ’25, with select dates from July to August 2025 across the UK and Ireland. Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, August 31, as well as a registered pre-sale ballot on Friday, August 30.

Oasis, formed in Manchester in 1991, became one of the biggest acts of the era following the release of their debut album Definitely Maybe in 1994. It topped the UK Albums Chart within a week of its release and became the fastest-selling debut album in the region at the time.

They followed it up with (What’s The Story) Morning Glory in 1995 which also entered the top spot within a week and stayed in the top three for seven months. They released five more albums until 2008, and as of this year, have sold 75 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

Since their breakup, the pair have succeeded in their solo acts: Liam with The Mighty I, and Noel with Noel Gallagher and the High Flying Birds.

The band’s contribution to British music is huge: songs such as Don’t Look Back in Anger, Champagne Supernova, Live Forever and, of course, Wonderwall, have cemented themselves into the global music lexicon, and the infamous “Battle of Britpop” with rival London-based band Blur gave the British North an edgier footing in their cultural identity.

Their return marks the comeback of nostalgic music and the revival of the Britpop. Tickets are expected to be sold out fast, perhaps mimicking that of their iconic Knebworth House gigs—Oasis performed two dates in August 1996, with tickets selling out within minutes and a record-breaking 250,000 attendees at the outdoor concert across both days.
