1. Olivia Tsang’s launch of ‘Extremely’, supporting The Women’s Foundation

What: Join photographer Olivia Tsang for the launch of her book Extremely, an intimate exploration of resilience and contemporary feminism. All proceeds will be donated to The Women’s Foundation and will feature a fireside chat with designer Alan Chan, real estate professional Jessica Chan, and Tsang herself, moderated by writer Catherine Shaw.
 

2. The Women’s Foundation Hong Kong’s International Women’s Day Lunch 2025

When: February 28, 2025

Where: Conrad Hong Kong

What: This year, The Women’s Foundation is celebrating International Women’s Day by highlighting the role of sports in advancing gender equality. Their lunch event will feature distinguished speakers in the industry, including Chen Lu, China’s first figure skating world champion; James Farndon, CEO of Hong Kong China Rugby; and Vivian Siu, FIA Formula 4 racer and gold medallist for the Hong Kong China Team.

3. The Menaupose Space’s talk on intimacy, hormones and the body

When: March 5, 2025

What: Join The Menaupose Space for an engaging International Women’s Day event, which explores how to keep intimacy enjoyable as we age. Experts will lead discussions on intimacy, hormonal changes, confidence and body image, providing insights to navigate this important aspect of life.

4. Luüna, Chomp and Ecomm Girls Club’s The Female Changemakers Supper Club

When: March 6, 2025

Where: Soho House, 33 Des Voeux Road West, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong

What: For International Women’s Day, Chomp, Luüna and Ecomm girls are joining forces for a one-of-kind evening bringing together Hong Kong’s incredible community of changemakers. Chomp’s The Rescued Feast will transform surplus food into a gourmet meal at Ecomm Girls Club’s signature supper club, fostering connections and community. Meanwhile Luüna will ensure proceeds contribute to its impact projects supporting free sustainable period care.

5. Hong Kong International Literary Festival’s IWD panel: Gender roles in fiction

What: In honour of International Women's Day, join the Hong Kong International Literary Festival’s breakfast panel featuring three Asian fiction writers discussing gender roles in literature. They will delve into how their stories challenge stereotypes, redefine identity and reflect evolving societal norms. Expect thought-provoking conversations on storytelling’s role in reshaping power, relationships and gender dynamics while enjoying a light breakfast.

6. Big Bang Academy’s ‘Mothers & Daughters Build STEM Futures Together’

What: Join Hong Kong’s first parent-daughter STEM workshop hosted by the female-founded edtech leader Big Bang Academy, proudly supported by prominent female investors. In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025’s theme Accelerate Action, participants will engage in hands-on challenges and inspiring talks while fostering cross-generational bonds. This unique workshop will allow moms and daughters to collaborate on engineering challenges and learn from diverse STEM icons, including Charlotte Wong, Prof. Hannah Mumby, and Christy Cheung.

7. Terrible Baby’s Sips from the sisterhood

When: March 8, 2025

Where: Terrible Baby, 4/F, Eaton HK, 380 Nathan Road, Jordan, Hong Kong

What: For International Women’s Day, Terrible Baby presents three inspiring women elevating the art of mixology: Nishma Gurung from Socio, London Essence Ambassador Natalie Lau, and Terrible Baby alumna Asta Chan. DJ Jessica WK will be on the decks all night, ensuring an evening filled with bold flavors and creative spirits.

8. The Impact Collective’s talk ‘Why girls who play sports become women who lead’

When: March 8, 2025

Where: Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club

What: For International Women’s Day 2025, the Impact Collective will host a talk on Why girls who play sports become women who lead. In it, Camille Cheng, Nadia Cullen, Steve Carr, Stephanie Norton and moderator Imogen Short will explore how sports cultivate resilience, teamwork and leadership skills essential for gender parity. 

9. PathFinders’ International Women’s Day Fireside Chat

Where: The Women’s Lounge, Women of Hong Kong, 4F, Hollywood Commercial House, 3-5 Old Bailey Street, Central, Hong Kong

What: This International Women’s Day, learn how to Accelerate Action by listening to an inspiring discussion between Sarah Vee, Crisel Consunji and Isabelle Daza, three women who are using their platforms to advocate for over 360,000 migrant domestic worker women (MDWs) in our city. Explore the impactful stories of PathFinders’ ambassadors and MDWs community leaders to educate and empower their peers. 

10. The Power of Presence: Leadership Across Generations and Borders

When: March 21, 2025

Where: Jockey Club Hall, Asia Society Hong Kong Center, 9 Justice Drive, Admiralty, Hong Kong

What: To commemorate Women’s History Month, the Wellesley College Club of Hong Kong and the Asia Society Hong Kong Center are hosting a luncheon program focused on leadership, resilience, and empowerment across generations. Wellesley College President Dr. Paula A. Johnson will deliver a keynote address, followed by a panel discussion featuring distinguished alumnae, moderated by CNN’s Kristie Lu Stout
 

11. She Runs Collective’s Women’s History Month activities

When: Throughout March, 2025

Where: Different locations around Hong Kong

What: She Runs Collective and the Onside Sports Group are ramping up their efforts to demonstrate their commitment to women in sport this month, hosting women-only runs, hikes, panels, and more. If you’re seeking some activity while celebrating sisterhood, you’ll find joy in these events.
