Swifties, take notes. It’s not too late to start preparing for Taylor Swift’s return to Singapore
Swifties, are you ready for it?
It’s been a long time coming but Taylor Swift is finally making her return to Singapore in March 2024 for the international leg of The Eras Tour.
Performing at the National Stadium on March 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9, this will be the American pop star’s only stop in Southeast Asia. The last time the singer-songwriter was in Singapore was in 2015 for The 1989 World Tour. During that time, Swift performed for almost 20,000 fans.

This would be the Anti-hero singer’s first world tour since the pandemic and will see a three-hour performance covering her career’s work—it’s definitely a concert her loyal fans will not want to miss out on. Prior to her stop in Singapore, she will perform in Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney.
If you manage to score a seat, it’s best to start preparing. Below, we share why we are psyched for the star’s highly anticipated concert and how we are already getting ready for it.
1. Get into the concert mood at a pre-concert event
You don’t have to wait until the concert to start belting out to the Karma singer’s hits as various establishments are offering events to help get you excited for her arrival in Singapore. For example, gastropub Tipsy Unicorn is paying tribute to the singer with a Taylor Swift Tribute Night on February 24. The evening will see live band Supershy jamming out to Swift’s most popular hits. While you’ll get to sing along to your favourite songs at Jewel Changi Airport’s Shiseido Forest Valley come March 1. The event will be led by local singer Joie Tan and local band 53A.
2. Make friendship bracelets
Since the start of the Eras Tour, fans have been exchanging bracelets with other Swifties at stadiums. This was first inspired by Swift’s song You’re On Your Own, Kid, where the lyrics write: “So, make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it.” If you hope to participate in this experience, start making those bracelets early.
3. Memorise song lyrics
The three-hour concert will see Swift’s journey through all her musical eras. This means that we would be seeing the pop star playing some of her most popular tracks since her first album in 2006. Start familiarising yourself with her songs (if you haven’t already) early so you can belt out her chart-topping hits with ease during the concert.
4. Master the chants

On top of memorising song lyrics, you’ll also want to learn some fan chants. Like many other concerts, the Eras Tour have seen fans chanting specific phrases throughout her songs. The list of fan chants and rituals are always evolving, so take a look online to prepare in advance.
5. Use a cute and appropriate bag
The Eras Tour has been known for having its own clear bag policy. While different venues have varying guidelines on what size and style of bag you’re allowed to bring, it’s best to look up on the policy before going. Swift’s official website allows you to check easily; while Singapore’s policy is not up yet, remember to check back closer to the concert date.
6. Wear comfortable shoes
If you don’t plan to get a seating ticket, it’s likely that you will be on your feet for hours. So be sure to wear your most comfortable shoes or break into your new shoes well and early. Remember to pack along a couple of band-aids or plasters too, just to be safe.
7. Dress the part
Well-known for her concert looks that include lots of sequined bodysuits and embellished accessories, perhaps you should also look the part if you are going to be at a Taylor Swift concert. It’s never too early to pick out an outfit, especially if you’re looking to nail a look that pays tribute to any of her past 10 albums.
Get inspired by her past concert looks or even create your own outfit from scratch. Most importantly, don’t forget to complete your outfit with the Red singer’s iconic red lip.
8. Prepare your route home
While going home after the concert might be the last thing on your mind right now, it’s still important to have a plan—especially if you’re hoping to beat the crowds. Find out your nearest exit from your seat and get familiar with the route out of the Stadium. After all, the last thing you’d want is to be is stuck in a human traffic jam after the concert.
If you rather not pay a hefty surcharge for a Grab home, taking public transport is your best bet. Rather than head to the Stadium MRT station, consider walking a little further to Kallang or Mountbatten to be ahead of the crowd—that is if your feet aren’t sore yet.
