The past two years have certainly been grim for the live music scene in Singapore. What used to be a monthly dose of concerts by our favourite artists from all over the world came to a halting stop due to the pandemic.
Post-pandemic, singers all over the world are making pit stops around the globe to bring their music to the masses and Singapore, thankfully, has not been left out. The second half of 2022 saw fans screaming at the top of their lungs to stellar acts such as Billie Eilish and Seventeen. This year, our city-state is geared up again to play host to a multitude of famous pipes including Westlife, Blackpink, Harry Styles, and Arctic Monkeys. Read on as we compile some of the biggest concerts happening in Singapore this year.
K-pop
Itzy
K-pop girl group Itzy made waves when they debuted back in 2019 as JYP Entertainment’s shiny new girl group. The quintet is set to hit Singapore shores this January for their “Checkmate” world tour. Dance your socks off to the group’s lineup of hit songs including Icy, Dalla Dalla, and Not Shy.

Stray Kids
K-pop boy group Stray Kids will be making a stop in Singapore for their second world tour “Maniac”. The eight-member group from JYP Entertainment won the 2022 Mama Award for Most Popular Group, beating out many other groups. They are set to perform hits including Red Lights, Hellevator, and Thunderous.

Mamamoo
South Korean girl group quartet Mamamoo will be performing two shows in Singapore as part of their first world tour “My Con”. Known for top-notch vocal performances and a strong stage presence, they are set to bring their hit singles Décalcomanie, Yes I am, and Egotistic to the stage.

Kang Daniel
K-pop heartthrob and former member of Wanna One Kang Daniel will return to Singapore his first solo concert. Fans can look forward to singing along to Color on Me, The Story, and Nirvana. Lucky fans will get the opportunity to take a photograph with Kang at a meet and greet, receive an autographed poster, or win a ticket to a send-off party.

Tomorrow X Together
Catch this Gen Z favourite this April as Bighit Entertainment’s beloved boy group Tomorrow X Together will make a stop in Singapore for their second world tour, “Act: Sweet Mirage”. The quintet, known for their powerful dance moves and youthful aura are set to perform their hit songs including 9 and Three Quarters (Run Away), Anti-Romantic, and Blue Hour.

Treasure
YG Entertainment’s 10-member boy group Treasure will be performing in Singapore for the first time this April. Their “Hello” Asia tour will kick off in Taipei, before ending off in Macau. Labelled as powerhouse rookies of the K-pop industry, concertgoers can expect an evening of non-stop fun with great music.

Red Velvet
SM Entertainment girl group Red Velvet is no stranger to Singapore, having previously held a concert in 2018. This time, the group returns for their anticipated tour, “R to V”. This concert marks their return to the live stage after the release of their most recent album “The ReVe Festival 2022 - Birthday”. Apart from their hit tracks, look forward to special solo and unit performances by the members this April.

Nct Dream
NCT Dream hails from the mammoth K-pop boy group NCT under SM Entertainment. The group will make Singapore stop as part of their “The Dream Show 2: In A Dream” which kicked off in Seoul last September. The group is set to perform their hit single Candy, the extended play (EP) of the same name was released in December 2022 and has sold over two million copies.

Blackpink
Mega K-pop girl group Blackpink will set Singapore on fire with their “Born Pink” world tour. The girl group’s most recent album of the same name debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200 album sales.

Exo-Sc
Sehun and Chanyeol of popular K-pop boy group EXO will be having their first fan-meeting and concert in Singapore this May. The duo makes EXO’s second sub-unit after EXO-CBX. The duo has since ranked first on iTunes for Top Album Chart in 51 regions around the world after the release of their album titled “1 Billion Views”.

Suga
Suga of mega K-pop septet BTS will be making a stop in Singapore for his first ever solo world tour. The South Korean rapper, songwriter, and music producer will present his mistapes under Agust D, showcasing his own vision as an artist.

Ive
New artist of the year winners Ive will be taking the stage of The Star Theatre to eager fans. The sextet was formed by Starship Entertainment in 2021 and has since soared the music charts in South Korea and internationally. Look forward to bops like After Like, Love Dive, and I Am this June.

The Boyz
11 member boy group The Boyz will be making their stop in Singapore as part of their highly anticipated second world tour. Other stops include Japan, Taiwan, Macau, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand. Their title track Maverick has won every K-pop music show in 2021, making them the first fourth generation boy group to set that stellar record.

Tae-yeon
K-pop darling and Girls Generation member Tae-yeon will be making a stop in Singapore for her world tour ‘The Odd of Love’. Hailed as one of the industry’s best vocalist, Tae-yeon has released many hit singles including I, 11:11, and Fine.

Twice
Formed under JYP Entertainment, Twice has since become one of the most recognisable girl groups of K-pop. Now on their fifth world tour, the girl group will be making their return to Singapore after four years as part of their ‘Ready To Be' tour to perform well-loved songs including Dance the Night Away and Fancy.

Ateez
This powerhouse octet have their schedules packed with concert tours and music festivals–and they aren’t stopping anytime soon. Come September, Ateez is set to fire up the Singapore Indoor Stadium with their alternative hiphop rhythm. Catch the group’s skill in performance diversity with EDM trap songs like Say My Name and ballad tracks including Turbulence and Mist.

Bol4
Known for her feature in many hit K-drama soundtracks including Hwarang and Start-Up, Bol4 should definitely be added to your playlist. Catch her soft and melodic tone live in Singapore as she marks her first visit to the country in September.

The Vamps
British pop band The Vamps are coming back to Singapore soil to perform a line-up of their hit songs. Their careers have only become bigger after their platinum-selling debut album, Meet The Vamps. Westlife
World-famous classic pop group Westlife is set to perform in Singapore for three nights this February. You heard it right, three exciting nights of nostalgic music to take you back in time. Apart from their greatest hits My Love, If I let You Go, and Uptown Girl, the group will also perform songs from their newest album Wild Dreams.

Backstreet Boys
Backstreet's Back, alright. '90s boyband Backstreet Boys will bring their “DNA World Tour 2023” to Singapore in February. Limited VIP packages entitle loyal fans to a meet and greet with the band and one individual photo opportunity. Exciting times.

Kings of Convenience

The man behind the viral TikTok-approved song As It Was will be returning to Singapore for his “Love on Tour” concert. Known for his energising concerts, hits including Watermelon Sugar, Music for a Sushi Restaurant, and Adore You are set to liven up your evening.

Maisie Peters
English rising star Maisie Peters takes on the Capitol Theatre for her debut show in Singapore. Signed to Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Man Records and headlining her American tours, the young musician certainly has talent up her sleeve. Ruel
Australian singer-songwriter Ruel will be in Singapore to perform songs from his debut album, “4th Wall”. He has several Platinums and Double Platinum hits under his belt, including Younger, Painkiller, Real Thing, and Face to Face.

Sabrina Carpenter
As part of Carpenter’s “Emails I Can’t Send” tour, the Nonsense singer will be gracing the Marina Bay Sands with her hit songs. Propelling herself to widespread fame as a singer-songwriter after her Disney channel days, Carpenter has gone to release multiple popular tracks. Catch some of her famous tracks this July.

Lauv
You would probably know American singer-songwriter Lauv as the man behind the hit song I Like Me Better. The multi-platinum certified singer will be playing in Singapore for fans in September. Charlie Puth
The I Don’t Think That I Like Her singer is no stranger to Singapore, having previously visited the island for a collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board. The American singer has collaborated with multiple popular contemporaries including Jungkook from BTS, Selena Gomez, and Meghan Trainor.

Sam Smith
British pop powerhouse Sam Smith will be taking his Gloria tour to Singapore this October. Apart from Singapore, the Asian leg of this tour includes the countries Bangkok, Taipei, Osaka, and Seoul. Smith’s most recent album, Gloria, whose song Unholy became a viral TikTok song, topped the British Charts back in January.

Phoebe Bridgers
Four-time Grammy nominee Phoebe Bridgers brings her critically acclaimed Punisher album to Singapore. This will be Bridgers’ first show in Singapore. Fans can look forward to hits including Punisher, Motion Sickness, and Kyoto.

Arctic Monkeys
English rock quartet Arctic Monkeys had previously performed at the opening ceremony of The Summer Olympics in London in 2012. American band The Strokes are the band behind Indie favourites The Adults Are Talking, Last Nite, and The End Has No End. This August, the quintet will take the stage in Marina Bay Sands to eager fans who have been looking forward to the band performing in Singapore.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers
The legendary American rock band Red Hot Chilli Peppers is set to rock the National Stadium following the release of their thirteenth studio album, Return of the Dream Canteen. Rock out to your favourite songs from the band this February.

Bryan Adams
Rock legend Bryan Adams brings to Singapore his “So Happy It Hurts” tour in March. Tune in for an evening of feel-good rock music with hits including Kick Ass, Somebody, and Waking Up the Neighbours.

A special “My Songs” concert by English musician Sting will take place in Singapore this March. The concert will feature an exciting setlist of about 22 of the singer’s most beloved songs (both with The Police and as a solo singer) including Message in a Bottle, Fragile, and Roxanne.

One Ok Rock

The 1975
English pop rock band The 1975 will be rocking out in Singapore this July. Formed in Manchester in 2002, the band has since released five critically acclaimed albums. Their most recent album, Being Funny In A Foreign Language has been met with positive reviews all over the globe.

Laufey
Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Laufey will serenading the crowd with her jazz hits. The modern jazz darling was a participant on The Voice Iceland in 2014 and has since gained traction in the media. She is known for her use of jazz and mainstream music genres in her music, resulting in addicting, jazz-inflected songs.
