Explore the new Jungkook workout, from late-night gym sessions to the principles behind his training success
Jungkook has long been open about the discipline behind his fitness routine, sharing glimpses of his workouts through livestreams, social media updates and behind-the-scenes content. Over the years, the BTS member has adjusted his training to match different goals, from maintaining the stamina required for demanding performances to building muscle during quieter periods. Recently, fans received another update during a “2026 BTS Festa” vlog, when Jungkook revealed that he had returned to a muscle-building phase centred on resistance training and a structured gym routine.
His routine begins with pull-ups before moving into exercises such as lat pulldowns, dips, chest presses, side lateral raises, seated rows, shoulder presses, curls and forearm work. Jungkook has also been seen training with 30 kg dumbbells in each hand, reflecting the heavy loads used during this phase. Alongside strength training, he continues to perform cardio in the morning and before bed.
Jungkook’s current workout differs from the “Hell Workout” he shared in 2023, which included 100 squats, 30 abdominal repetitions, 40 lunges, planks and 15 burpees. That programme focused on endurance and consistency rather than muscle gain. While the exercises have changed, both routines are built around regular training and clear fitness goals.

How to adapt the Jungkook workout to your level
The most important rule is not to copy Jungkook’s exact weights or training volume. Beginners should start with lighter dumbbells or machines and focus on learning proper form. Two sets of eight to 10 repetitions per exercise is a reasonable starting point, while assisted pull-ups or lat pulldowns can replace unassisted pull-ups.
Intermediate exercisers can increase volume to three sets of 10 to 12 repetitions and gradually add more challenging resistance. Advanced trainees may follow a structure closer to the current Jungkook workout, performing three to four sets with heavier loads and progressively increasing weight over time.

Jungkook’s workout habits
Although the details of Jungkook’s workout have evolved, the underlying principles remain consistent. First, train consistently. Jungkook’s routines, whether bodyweight-based or gym-focused, emphasise regular practice rather than occasional intense sessions.
Second, adapt your training to your goals. His 2023 routine prioritised endurance, while his 2026 programme focuses on muscle growth.
Finally, balance strength work with recovery and conditioning. The workout continues to include cardio alongside resistance training, while rest remains an important part of long-term progress.
Jungkook’s current workout is designed around muscle development through resistance training and progressive overload. His earlier “Hell Workout” remains a practical option for those without access to gym equipment. Whether you choose one approach or combine elements of both, the lesson is the same: match your training to your goals, progress gradually and stay consistent.
