Chanel announces its partnership with global popstar Jung Kook as the new face for fragrances and beauty

The beauty world has just entered its Jung Kook era. Chanel Fragrance & Beauty has officially named the global popstar—and one-seventh of the world’s biggest boyband—as its newest Global Ambassador, marking one of the House’s most high-octane appointments in recent years.

It’s a pairing that feels inevitable in retrospect. After all, few artists embody modern glamour quite like Jung Kook: audacious yet effortless, and always several beats ahead of the cultural conversation. In an industry obsessed with reinvention, he’s the rare figure who actually lives it.

Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur, Chanel’s Head of Global Creative Resources for Fragrances & Beauty, captures the sentiment neatly. “I have long admired his incredible talent, his music career, and his distinctive commitment to self-expression—not to mention his bold creative choices. He perfectly embodies the essence of our House,” he said in a press statement. “He is an inspiration for the new generation… I am genuinely excited about this upcoming collaboration.”

For Chanel, Jung Kook’s appointment signals an evolution in how luxury defines influence. His artistic footprint already sprawls across continents: platinum-certified singles, stadium-shaking performances, collaborations with A-list artists, and a suite of solo tracks (Euphoria, Still With You, My Time) that live permanently on the playlists of millions. There’s also his global sporting moment: Dreamers, the official soundtrack of the Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022, performed at the Opening Ceremony.

And while his résumé leaves little to prove, Jung Kook sees his new ambassadorship as a creative turning point. “I am truly delighted to join Chanel Fragrances & Beauty as global ambassador,” he shares. “Chanel is a pioneering House that cherishes its timeless heritage while constantly reinventing itself with modernity. As an artist, I try to stay true to my own style while embracing new challenges, so this partnership is especially meaningful to me.”

It’s a sentiment that mirrors his broader career arc. From the smoky groove of 3D with Jack Harlow to the chart-dominating Seven (feat. Latto)—which shot straight to number one on the Billboard Hot 100—Jung Kook has built a solo identity defined by curiosity, versatility and the thrill of pushing boundaries.

This new partnership shouldn’t be a surprise for anyone who sees the cultural alignment: Jung Kook brings the generational heat; Chanel brings the timeless allure. Together, expect a new era of beauty storytelling.
