Here’s all you need to know about one of the richest couples on the Netflix show before binge-watching it this weekend
Netflix reality TV series Bling Empire is dropping its first spinoff show today. Similar to the original series, Bling Empire: New York gives us a glimpse of the glitzy and glamorous lives of the crazy rich Asians—in New York, of course. If you have watched the trailer, you may have noticed some familiar and unfamiliar faces, including Hong Kong power couple, Stephen and Deborah Hung.
As the latest additions to the cast of Netflix’s Bling Empire, Hong Kong-born Stephen Hung is a business tycoon whose wealth stems from his career in investment banking and real estate. While born and bred in Hong Kong, Stephen moved to New York in 1977 where he studied business administration at the University of Southern California. Currently, at the age of 64, the business mogul is the vice-chairman of Rio Entertainment Group and founder of popular Macao hotel chain, The 13.
The millionaire’s other half, Deborah, is a 39-year-old Mexican-born socialite. Formerly a Hong Kong-based supermodel, she is currently the founder of one of Asia’s full-service modelling agencies, Dreamodels.

Since their marriage in 2012, the power couple has been a fixture in the Hong Kong social scene, making appearances in various high society events like charity galas and balls. The two also make an evidently stylish pair, often attending Paris Fashion Week and glitzy red carpet events like Cannes Film Festival together in fashionable ensembles. Naturally, when it comes to travelling, the Hungs choose to do so in style—the global citizens are no strangers to private jets, luxurious supercars, and even a hot pink Rolls Royce.
Here, we take a peek into the already extravagant lives of Stephen and Deborah Hung.
