‘Mother Mary’ (April 2026)

Anne Hathaway’s first movie of 2026 has been described as a “psychosexual pop thriller”. Full of intense and unsettling imagery, the film seems hard to peg. Think Black Swan meets The Substance, but set in the high-stakes music industry. According to the logline, Hathaway plays a pop star who, in the midst of an existential crisis, reconnects with her estranged best friend and costume designer—the person who has helped manufacture her iconic persona.

‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ (May 1, 2026)

Twenty years after the release of The Devil Wears Prada, a sequel is finally headed to the big screen, with Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci reprising their iconic roles. Also joining the cast are Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, BJ Novak, Simone Ashley, Pauline Chalamet and Patrick Bramall.
The sequel’s plot will reportedly tackle Miranda trying to navigate the many changes magazine publishing has gone through in the years since the original film came out. And, as the trailer suggests, it will also feature a more confident Andy Sachs returning to work with Miranda, and possibly facing off with Emily Charlton.
If the number of paparazzi shots and fan-captured moments from filming are anything to go by, audiences are more than ready to see the next chapter of this fashion-world saga unfold. That’s all.

‘The Odyssey’ (July 17, 2026)

Christopher Nolan puts the epic back in Greek epics with his highly anticipated big-screen adaptation of The Odyssey. In the film, Anne Hathaway plays Penelope, alongside a star-studded cast that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Mia Goth, Elliot Page and Jon Bernthal.
From the official trailer, it appears the film will lean fully into the mythology and not shy away from featuring gods and monsters. And being the first film ever shot entirely using IMAX cameras, another thing audiences can expect is a truly cinematic experience.
‘Flowervale Street’ (August 14, 2026)
Not much is known about the film other than that it’s a sci-fi thriller shot on IMAX and stars Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor as parents. Unconfirmed reports have the film set in the ’80s, and there’s online speculation that the plot involves dinosaurs and time travel. With its August release date still a long way off, audiences will hopefully learn more about the film before then.
‘Verity’ (October 2, 2026)
Anne Hathaway is ending the year with the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel Verity. Co-starring Josh Hartnett and Dakota Johnson, the plot contains plenty of jaw-dropping twists and turns.
Hathaway plays author Verity Crawford, whose husband Jeremy Crawford (Hartnett) hires Lowen Ashleigh (Johnson), a struggling young writer, to finish his wife’s series of novels after she is left incapacitated in a car accident.
Thanks to the novel’s popularity and the film’s all-star cast, it’s one of the most highly anticipated Hathaway projects of the year.
