The actress reflects on marriage, self-growth and the balance between love, ambition and living with intention

In the past year, Eyka Farhana has been everywhere—lighting up screens with her acting roles, commanding attention in the fashion scene and building a reputation as one of Malaysia’s most versatile young talents. Her career, which began in her teens, has only deepened with time, marked by a growing maturity both on and off screen. Yet behind the accolades and appearances, Eyka is embracing something far more personal: a new season of life.

At 30, Eyka finds herself standing at the intersection of love, growth and self-discovery. Fresh from stepping into a new chapter of life, the actress speaks with quiet confidence about embracing change, redefining strength and living with intention.

To Eyka, marriage is something that has truly grounded her. “It’s a beautiful reminder that love and companionship can coexist with ambition. Personally, I’ve learned to slow down, to appreciate little things more. Creatively, I feel more inspired because I’m experiencing life in a deeper, more meaningful way,” she says.

This shift comes with a newfound appreciation for life’s simplest rituals. “What surprised me most is how comforting the simplest routines can be. Whether it’s cooking together after a long day or just sitting in silence, those little rituals become anchors. They remind me that joy often lives in the ordinary moments.”

For someone constantly in the public eye, balancing independence and partnership is no small feat. Yet Eyka approaches it with clarity. “It’s always about balance. I treasure my individuality—my career, my passions—but partnership means sharing space, dreams and decisions. We support each other while still allowing room for growth as individuals. That mutual respect makes everything easier.”

Marriage, she reflects, has also deepened her understanding of strength. “I think my strength has softened in the best way. Marriage doesn’t take away your independence; it teaches you to lean on another person without losing yourself. I’ve learned that true strength is also knowing when to be vulnerable.”

Looking back on the journey that began when she was just 15, Eyka offers advice she wishes she could give her younger self. “I would tell her, ‘Be patient. Everything you dream of will come, but not always in the way you expect. Don’t rush, just keep your faith, and trust your timing. You’ll grow into someone stronger and more graceful than you ever imagined.’”

Now, she guards her personal growth carefully, choosing boundaries as a form of self-care. “I’ve learned that not everything needs to be shared, and that’s okay. I keep certain parts of my life sacred. At the same time, I surround myself with people who remind me of who I am, beyond the lights and cameras.”

Fashion is another form of storytelling for Eyka. “Some days I want to be bold, other days I want to be soft and understated. It allows me to show the many layers of who I am without saying a word.” For her, a timepiece is just as much a part of that narrative. Eyka’s style is adaptable, evolving with every season of her life—just like the Audemars Piguet creations she wears that balance bold design with timeless sophistication.

Among her most treasured pieces is one with deep symbolic value, a vintage watch passed down from her family. “ It reminds me that time is precious, and that everything—career, love, personal growth—happens in seasons. Wearing it keeps me grounded.” It’s a sentiment echoed in Audemars Piguet’s own philosophy, where each model becomes a personal marker of meaning and memory.

The manufacture continues to push the boundaries of technical sophistication by introducing the new 38mm self-winding perpetual calendar models in the Royal Oak and Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet collections. That same spirit of innovation and forward motion resonates with Eyka herself, who is embracing her own season of growth and transformation.

As she looks ahead, her vision of the woman she wants to become is both aspirational and rooted in humility. “I hope to be a woman who is both grounded and limitless. Someone who continues to evolve, who never stops learning and who inspires others to embrace their own journey with grace.”

And at the heart of it all lies a simple intention: presence. “My intention is to live with presence—to be fully here, whether I’m acting, spending time with family, or simply enjoying quiet moments. Time is the most luxurious thing we have and I want to spend it meaningfully.”

For Eyka, this season of becoming is as much about her career as it is her personal life. Just as she continues to evolve as an actress and a public figure, she is also learning to embrace love, growth and vulnerability with equal grace. It’s this balance—between ambition and intimacy, independence and connection—that makes her not only a woman to watch, but one to admire.
