Aaron Kwok, one of the ‘Four Heavenly Kings’ of Canto-pop, has been telling stories through fashion for decades. From sparkles and bright colours to cowboy outfits, we look back at some of the Hong Kong star’s most iconic looks
Aaron Kwok is renowned for his dance moves and physique. But what grabs everybody’s attentions are his iconic stage outfits.
The 58-year-old’s style has always been versatile and daring; he’s never been afraid to wear an LED-outlined trousers, sheers or glitter. Within a single concert, he can be certain to change outfits several times, each time wowing the crowd with awe-inspiring looks and creativity.
To celebrate the “Michael Jackson of Hong Kong” and his world tour, here are his most legendary outfits from recent years.

The gold, rabbit-like face cover and 3D spikes on each arm are a perfect representation of Kwok’s statement pieces; in this case, we have to thank his styling director Zhang Shuping. Kwok thanks Zhang in a social media post for designing many “stylish and colourful dance clothes” for him during the 2024 Amazing Starry World Tour in Malaysia.

In both these cowboy outfits, worn on the Amazing Starry Tour in Malaysia and Las Vegas as part of the Amazing Kode world tour respectively, Kwok, as they say, slayed the stage. Yes, he showed off his usual smooth dance moves, but all eyes were really on his bold, tasselled ’fits, both courtesy of Hong Kong-based Kit Wan Studios.

The cover for the 2016 DVD release of Kwok’s De Aa Kode concert featured a ruffled, Regency-inspired shirt and spiky hair in the It colour of 2023. Kwok is not only fashionable, he’s a style soothsayer, setting trends years before the world is ready for them.

Kwok is a star, and as such, he likes to shine bright. This is one of our favourite looks, worn during his De Showy Masquerade World Tour Live back in 2011. Kwok hosted 17 concerts in Hong Kong followed by stops in Taiwan, Singapore, Macau, Shenzhen and Guangzhou.

The King isn’t afraid to look extra, as he proved with this figure-hugging, custom bejewelled full-body print top and patchwork sequin pants on his Amazing Kode World Tour in Las Vegas. Embellished with shimmering patterns and intricate, embroidery-like details, the look was created by Kit Wan Studios.
As well as being a favourite with Kwok, Wan has dressed other celebrities such as MC Cheung, Jace Chan and Hins Cheung.

Of course he looks great in a wider range of outfits, but there’s nothing that Kwok wears better than his abs. The 58-year-old spends a lot of time keeping fit and maintaining his physique, and it shows. It’s common knowledge that the Canto-pop singer wakes up at 4am every morning to jog, even when he has a packed schedule—and of course, given all the dancing he does for every single performance, it’s no surprise he has abs of steel that he should justifiably be proud of.
