Explore a modern take on Leonardo Da Vinci’s greatest works

“To develop a complete mind: Study the science of art; Study the art of science. Learn how to see. Realise that everything connects to everything else.” - Leonardo Da Vinci

A marriage of scientific ingenuity and creative talent, Leonardo Da Vinci revolutionised the world in every aspect through his creations. Widely considered to be ahead of his time, Da Vinci was the true Renaissance man and has inspired many of today’s contemporary media artists and designers.

Much like the unforgettable Van Gogh is Alive experience back in 2019, the Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation’s Wisdom of Da Vinci revives the artist’s passions through technology and artificial intelligence.

The immersive one-hour experience is divided into three separate halls.

Curator's Lounge

Starting things off with a warm welcome is the Curator’s Lounge. Visitors can join a quick painting workshop, get introduced to the concept of data art, and even take photos at the photo booth. The lounge starts with the Poetic AI Gallery, an exhibition that explores the relationship between human creativity and technology through a digital library of 20 million lines derived from the works of great scientists like Albert Einstein and Galileo Galilei. Next, Manila Real-time Data Artwork will take you on a journey through the Philippine economy, using data from budgets and statistics to showcase a fluctuating data piece in real time. Overall, the Curator's Lounge features Ouchhh AI Studio’s creative process, how they transformed and reimagined Da Vinci’s beloved pieces into the modern world, and serves as a primer for what's to come.

Digital Garden of Dreams

The Digital Garden of Dreams is an explosion of vibrant colours that blend with everything around you. This hall features four chapters of data paintings:

  • Atlas: The famous Vitruvian Man is beautifully transformed and portrayed with gears, symbolising the inner machinations of Da Vinci’s mind.
  • DataGate: A collaboration with NASA using data gathered by the Kepler space telescope, covering 500,000 stars, 2,500 planets, and 60 supernovae.
  • Superstrings: A cognitive performance by the Manila Symphony Orchestra that projects their emotions to the hall. From whimsical colours to fluid movements, the room felt alive as it changed with every resonating sound played.
  • Filipino Master: Works of Juan Luna are translated as data paintings

Wisdom of Da Vinci Hall

Witness Da Vinci’s genius in the Wisdom of Da Vinci Hall, which showcases the artistic works and scientific achievements of Leonardo Da Vinci. The walls are plain white at first but are soon filled with mirrored images of the Mona Lisa, Salvator Mundi, Virgin of the Rocks, and more of the artist’s great works. Other visual masterpieces can also be seen here such as Michaelangelo’s Creation of Adam painting and the Pieta sculpture. The awe-inspiring visuals are accompanied by euphonious music curated and performed by the world-famous composer, Ludovico Einaudi.
