The art harvest is upon us yet again. These are the artists who won the Ani ng Dangal Awards
The National Commission of Culture and Arts (NCCA) bestowed 33 artists with the Ani ng Dangal awards on February 22, 2023, at the Ceremonial Hall, Malacañan Palace. Now in its 15th year, the Ani ng Dangal or Harvest of Honor recognises Filipino talent who have earned the highest international accolades and awards in the categories of Architecture and Allied Arts, Cinema, Dance, Music, Visual Arts, and Broadcast Arts.

Awardees were given a trophy of a stylised Sarimanok sculpture designed by the National Artist for Visual Arts Abdulmari Imao. The multi-coloured, 7-grain rice stalk alludes to the rice harvest as a metaphor for an art harvest while representing the seven arts. The trophy's vibrant colours encapsulate the festive mood of National Arts Month (NAM) and hail the abundance and excellence of Filipino artistry to life.
