A round-up of the most festive markets in Kuala Lumpur to put you in the festive spirit and help with last minute shopping
We have officially made our way into December, and Christmas Day is fast approaching. However, with work and other engagements, finding time to complete your Christmas Sshopping and truly immerse yourself in the atmosphere can be difficult. Christmas markets and events are popping up everywhere. Adorned with twinkling lights, festive decorations and the aroma of seasonal treats, they will put you in the Christmas spirit and help with your shopping.

Here are some of our favourite Christmas markets to check out this month.
1. Jolly Christmas Carnival
Date: December 18, 2023 - January 1, 2024
Venue: The Curve
This Christmas, The Curve transforms into a pop art-inspired Christmas village carnival, complete with 2D cut-outs of festive elements, for a month-long carnival brimming with joy and wonder. From carnival games that promise exciting prizes to a Christmas bazaar featuring booths from Lovely Lace, Lyns Cottage, and many more, every corner resonates with the spirit of giving. Date: December 16 - 17 and 23 - 24, 12pm - 8pm
Venue: REXKL
Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, REXKL is well known for its markets and events. They have announced two markets, especially for the festive season. Their Very REXMAS Market will take place on the 16th to 17th of this month, whereas their Grinchmas Market will run from the 23rd to 24th. 3. Awe I want Xmas Bazaar
Date: December 8-10, 11am - 8pm
Venue: Awegallery
The Awe I Want Paramount Xmas Bazaar is happening from the 8th to the 10th of December. Awegallery is hosting wonderful vendors and products to bring some Christmas Cheer and strike inspiration for your Christmas Shopping. For more information, follow Awegallery’s Instagram page @awegallery.
4. Frosty Festive Market
Dates: December 9 and 10, 16 and 17, 23 and 24, 10am - 10pm
Venue: 1st Floor, MyTOWN KL (Near the IKEA link bridge)
You won’t have any problems finding presents here. Discover a wonderland of unique, locally crafted Christmas gifts, from enchanting decorations to fashionable accessories and delicious seasonal treats.

5. The B Brand Christmas Market
Date: December 23 - 24, 2 - 10 pm
Venue: Lot 10
The B Brand Christmas Market is home to a myriad of stalls, selling products from Christmas-themed items to jewellery and clothing. This is another market home to local vendors. This festive season, you can support small businesses whilst completing your Christmas shopping.

6. Mari Christmas
Date: December 16 - 17, 10am - 6 pm
Venue: KEDAI KL
Doing your Christmas Shopping at the artisanal marketplace Kedai KL will definitely put you in the festive mood. You can find your perfect presents among the many local vendors, or you can make them at the Bazaar’s workshops. Check out KEDAI KL’s Instagram page @kedai.kl to see the vendors.

7. Pingmin Christmas Market
Date: December 16 - 17, 5 - 10pm and December 23 and 25, 2 -10pm (23 & 25), and December 24, 5pm - 12am
Venue: Sime Darby Property SJCC Gallery and CP7 Rooftop Sunway Pyramid
Pingmin Christmas Market is an event spanning three different dates and locations. With over 80 local vendors selling handcrafted gifts and delightful food, it shouldn’t be hard to find Christmas presents here. On top of that, the event is hosting a unique potluck event that will make your weekend.

8. Ready 4 X’mas
Date: December 23 - 24, 2 - 10pm
Venue: LalaPort Rooftop Garden
Lalaport’s READY 4 X’MAS Market will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit. Taking place at Lalaport’s Rooftop Garden, the event will host over 60 local vendors while overlooking the breathtaking view of the city. After completing your Christmas shopping, you can head over to the gift-wrapping counter to add the final touch to your presents.
9. Zhufu Christmas Market
Date: December 9-10, 12 - 9pm
Venue: Zhufu Cafe, Taman Megah
Zhufu Cafe is hosting its very own Christmas market. Although somewhat different to the other Markets we’ve looked at, Zhufu Cafe’s vendors will have you looking fabulous for the season, hosting vendors from curated thrifts and accessories to tattoos and tooth gems.
