InLife’s Amorsolo Circle members were in for a treat last July 2025 as they participated in a musical tribute to Filipino identity, legacy and love of country

The Manila Symphony Orchestra (MSO) serenaded the guests with a comprehensive library of Filipino music at Tanghalang Haribon at InLife’s Headquarters in Alabang. On the screen, masterpieces by revered National Artists and other important Filipino artists flashed one after the other. Together with The Opera Belles, an all-female classical crossover group from the Philippine Opera Company, this year’s edition of Harmonies In Life, “Salinlahi: A Tribute to Timeless Filipino Legacy”, highlighted some of the most iconic Filipino songs from kundiman to modern Filipino music. The evening was made more stellar with the brief yet heartfelt performance of the country’s one and only “Megastar”, Sharon Cuneta, who is InLife’s brand ambassador and Dreamweaver. More than a trip down memory lane, the concert evoked the audience’s love of country and people.

InLife’s Executive Chairperson Nina Aguas called the evening a celebration of the enduring relationships that shape who we are and who we aspire to become.

“We gather at a time when our world feels uncertain... Investment landscapes are shifting beneath our feet. New technologies, especially artificial intelligence, are transforming how we live, work and connect,” Aguas said. “And in moments like these, we understand the need for a pause, for perspective; that is why tonight’s [gathering] matters.”

The concert’s five acts were seamlessly tied together by spoken word artist Maimai Cantillano’s lyrical poem, which served as an interlude for each. Starting with Mga Awit ng Panliligaw [courtship songs], the MSO accompanied by The Opera Belles in its romantic repertoire.

This was followed by Bayan at Alaala [homeland and memories], MSO’s orchestral renditions of nationalistic songs, a classic Filipino love song, and a Nineties alternative rock anthem, stirring patriotism in the audience.

In Harana ng Puso [songs from the heart], Cuneta joined the MSO with her timeless love songs, such as Maging Sino Ka Man and Ikaw. The Megastar entertained the audience not just with her memorable songs but also with her playful banter. Before Cuneta bade everyone a good night, she gave in to the demand for an encore by briefly performing an a cappella rendition of her hit song Bituing Walang Ningning.

The penultimate act, Harana ng Dakila [ode to our legacy], brought guests back to the eras of the Eighties and Nineties.

Finally, in Harana ng Pamana [serenades of legacy], The Opera Belles sang more of the beloved Filipino classics that generations today continue to appreciate, adding their own fresh twist. A fitting finale was their beautiful rendition of the esteemed insurance company’s latest theme song, Love in Life.

“Harmonies In Life is more than a musical celebration. It is our respite, a gentle space to breathe, reflect and reconnect,” Aguas said. “Harmony does not mean the absence of change. It means finding strength in unity, resilience and shared purpose.”
