Art House and Search Mindscape Foundation introduces a new avant-garde art activation nestled within the heart of Makati
Rooted in time-honoured holiday traditions distinct to Philippine culture—whether through large gatherings, festivities, and bright lights, Art House and Search Mindscape Foundation invite guests to discover the transformative power of art to inspire change, bridge communities, and amplify the conversation on sustainability through Elemento: Art + Light + Flow, an interactive, multi-disciplinary art exposition open to the public until December 23 at Ayala Triangle Gardens.
“In all our projects, we endeavour to showcase Philippine culture while breaking barriers for artists. Sustainability and community are also pillars of our multidisciplinary platform,” says Art House Founder and CEO Carlo Pineda.
Elemento is more than an art project—it is a celebration of the power of art to inspire, connect, and illuminate. It encourages viewers to converge and revel in the season in a space transformed by light, creativity, and community. More importantly, the project endeavours to open a dialogue between artists, enthusiasts, and communities about the concept of materiality.

“It started when we did Agos in collaboration with Search Mindscape Foundation. During this exhibition, we explored the use of sustainable materials in creating artworks,” says Pineda. The show featured 19 artists who showcased their unique takes on sustainability. Instead of the usual paints, tsinelas artist Alger Guevarra used rubber pigments for many artworks, which saw the birth of the materiality concept. “We wanted to continue what was started in Agos,” he says.
“At the time, we were promoting Tsinelas Art, so collaborating with Art House allowed us to explore and tap into the environmental space with a wider pool of artists,” adds Ayni Nuyda, founder of Search Mindscape Foundation. So, after Agos, it was only natural to mount a large-scale art exposition. “It had to be bigger,” says both founders.

“This project was a shot in the dark, but Ayala Triangle Gardens was the perfect venue in that it’s a heritage location,” they admit. After presenting their concept to the Ayala Land team, plans for the Elemento project began to take shape and find its unique form.
Key Highlights to look forward to

Nautilus of Dreams by Leeroy New. A dream pod shaped like a nautilus shell that symbolises nature as it grows, expands, and renews. Envisioned a crowd donation space, this area will allow visitors to become part of the creation process. By donating PHP 100, visitors can add their wishes and dreams to the Nautilus of Dreams. Beneficiaries of this initiative include Liter of Light and educational programs of The Art House and Search Mindscape Foundation.
Elemento Indoor Art Gallery. The Shops at Ayala Triangle will be home to a revolving art gallery. This curated space is a vibrant canvas of diverse artistic expressions that spark dialogue and introspection.
“The irony of this set-up is that diversity binds the exhibition,” says Nuyda. The exhibition mirrors the inclusive and collaborative values embraced by The Art House. In this space, 36 artists across styles and genres will be featured and mounted on panels made of recycled tetra packs.
Within the art exhibition, a Digital Innovation Area will be dedicated to tech-powered art forms. This includes a digital film tribute to Justin Nuyda called Athena’s Whisper by Fifth Wall, NFTs, and augmented reality by Scarlet Box. Featuring masters like Imao, Manansala, Botong, and Joya, Digital Innovation is a space that transcends time, space, and mortality.
Elemento Gift Shop. Complementing the gallery is a gift shop carrying Leeroy New archival limited edition prints and other merchandise. Pineda shares, “This is the first time Leeroy New will be doing prints and other objects. Our idea was to allow visitors to bring home a piece of Elemento.”
Art for All Ages. There are interactive areas that engage families and children in the art experience. On weekends, Bambino Bikes by Bambikes (made using sustainable materials) will be available for young children to ride along Paseo de Roxas.
Sepak, or traditional sipa balls, that children can play while at the Ayala Triangle Gardens revive time-honoured games in Philippine culture. King-sized banigs (woven mats) will also be laid out for family picnics.
“These are traditions in our culture that are getting lost,” observes Carlo. “So we wanted to integrate them into the art experience. Without the kids or other family members even realising it, they find themselves engaged in the Elemento art experience.”
