ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands has entered 2025 with an ambitious new programme highlighting its commitment to visionary exhibitions and interdisciplinary learning. Featuring two exhibitions making their Asian premiere and the debut of the ArtScience Laboratory, the museum’s offerings this year are poised to engage and inspire through the intersection of art, science, and technology—while addressing the human experience.
An innovative new season titled Mind and Body: The Art and Science of Being Human kickstarts the museum’s lineup for the year, highlighting the intricate relationship between mind and body. The season opens with the addition of two new artworks by the acclaimed art collective teamLab in the ArtScience Museum’s permanent exhibition, Future World: Where Art Meets Science. These digital installations provide an immersive introduction to the season’s themes, exploring the idea that all living things are connected.
Running from January to July this year, the Mind and Body season is headlined by two exhibitions: Mirror Mirror: Journey Into the Mind by Moment Factory and Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses.

Opening on March 1, Mirror Mirror: Journey Into the Mind uses cutting-edge technology and creative artistry to invite visitors on a personalised journey through eight interactive rooms. Each space delves into facets of the mind, from memory and perception to dreams and consciousness, transforming intangible inner workings into a compelling visual and sensory experience.
The museum will unveil Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses on March 15, a retrospective showcasing over 90 avant-garde designs from the visionary Dutch fashion designer. This exhibition, van Herpen’s first solo one in the region, is presented in collaboration with the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Intertwining traditional haute couture techniques with digital technologies, this landmark showcase navigates the human body as a site for transformation and evolution.

“At a time dominated by global conversations about artificial intelligence and its implications, Mind and Body offers a timely exploration of what it means to think, feel, and exist as human beings,” shares Honor Harger, vice president of ArtScience Museum. “This season is designed for audiences to engage deeply with the interplay of thought, sensation, and identity, and imagine new possibilities.
Complementing the museum’s first season, the ArtScience Laboratory opens in February as a 320-square-metre hub for experiential learning. Located on Basement 2, this permanent facility is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and innovation through workshops, digital coding sessions, and sustainability-focused activities. “This new learning centre strengthens our commitment to empowering future generations of creative thinkers by making interdisciplinary learning central to everything we do,” Harger explains. Drawing on over a decade of expertise in art-science education, the ArtScience Laboratory invites learners of all ages to explore the crux of art, science, and technology.
