Filipino artist and female entrepreneur expresses her flair for the creatives in her celebration of a decade-long artistic journey
From November 24 until December 7, ArtistSpace holds an exhibit that highlights Melissa Yeung-Yap’s strength in the creative industry, along with her character as a social entrepreneur, field researcher, and devoted philanthropist. Yeung-Yap is known to reach out to communities from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao with the prevailing vision to sustain the Philippines’ tangible heritage. Her crafts incorporate the materials she sourced and the market products of the cultural treasures from our country’s rich tradition which is clearly reflected in her works of art. Yeung-Yap’s years of experience as an artist clearly resemble her passion and profession, making her mission to honour the Filipino culture stand out at best.
