Collectors, curators and Tatler community members were out in full force for the preview of Art SG, Southeast Asia’s largest contemporary art fair
Art SG, the leading art fair in Southeast Asia, returned for its third edition and opened with a private VIP preview and vernissage on January 16. Held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Art SG 2025 featured 105 galleries from 30 countries and territories across the globe, spotlighting established and emerging artists alike. “As we open the third edition of Art SG, we celebrate the consistent growth of Singapore’s art scene. Building momentum on two successful previous editions and current high market confidence in the region, this year’s fair further strengthens its ties to Singapore and the Indo-Pacific, championing local artistic practices and engaging in stimulating international dialogue,” said Magnus Renfrew, co-founder of Art SG.
A sophisticated audience of collectors, industry professionals, and art enthusiasts—including members of our Tatler community—got an exclusive glimpse into the dynamic programming of the art fair before it opened to the public. The atmosphere was abuzz with conversation as guests admired standout pieces and caught up with friends and fellow art lovers across the expansive two-floor exhibition.

One of the highlights of the vernissage was the Tatler x Porsche session. Continuing its tradition of blending art and innovation, Porsche became the official automotive partner of Art SG. Tatler community members were spotted mingling at the marque’s booth, where a newly commissioned installation by globally acclaimed artist Red Hong Yi took centre stage. Titled The Red Thread: Past, Present, Future, the multi-layered installation features 60 shades of red car paint and takes the shape and scale of a Porsche 911.

As sparkling wine and conversation flowed freely at the Porsche space, guests were also treated to an exclusive opportunity to meet the artist and learn about the intricate process behind the artwork, further enriching the experience.
