With the country's biggest art fair a week away, do you have everything prepared?

If it’s your first time going to Art Fair Philippines, you’ll want to read up on a few pointers. You can choose to go in blind, but I reckon there are a few things you’d want to know before committing a whole day (or three) to it.

In case you missed it: Art Fair Philippines 2023: where to go this Gallery Weekend?

From the general dos, don'ts, and must-brings to this year's lineup of exhibitors, artists, and talks you can enjoy, this list has it all! Tatler got you covered with this beginner's guide to Art Fair Philippines 2023:

Dress comfortably!

This means no heels or shoes that you haven’t broken in! There are multiple floors of art exhibits to be seen and enjoyed. You wouldn’t want to have to call the day short because your feet are hurting. I’d also suggest bringing a jacket just in case the weather gets chilly, or worse, wet.

Make sure you don’t leave the house without a fully charged phone and a power bank. You’ll have plenty of photos to take, and running out of battery would leave the job to your eyes. I mean, depending on how you look at it, it could be a good thing so you can fully absorb great works of art. A date is optional, but not required.

Tickets can either be bought online in advance at artfairphilippines.com or onsite at the fourth-floor reception from February 17-19. They're currently going for 450 pesos each, but students can get them for 350 pesos. Makati students get an even bigger discount at 200 pesos per ticket. So make sure to bring your valid IDs!

If you're looking to grab a bite, food and refreshments will be available inside the art fair. But if you want to explore Makati, both Greenbelt and Glorietta are just a five-minute walk. Just make sure that you don't bring any food and beverages inside the fairgrounds, as they are not allowed.
