The 1986 People Power that restored democracy, captured through powerful images

In February 1986, millions of Filipinos poured onto Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), their collective presence a defiant stand against dictatorship. For four days, nuns faced down tanks, civilians linked arms with soldiers, and a nation edged toward an uncertain future. By the end, the Marcos administration had crumbled, and democracy—fragile, hard-won—was restored.

Revisit the People Power Revolution through images that capture the energy, the fear, and the unshakable resolve of a people reclaiming their country.
