The 2024 ‘Miss Saigon’ in Manila extends until May 12, get to know its cast

Rising musical theatre actor Adriano started training at six, shaping her passion for singing. Eventually, she studied both classical and contemporary music under the tutelage of renowned voice teacher Peter Bodnar. Adriano debuted in professional musical theatre by portraying Alice in the 2015 Australian production of Tim Minchin’s Matilda the Musical.

Besides appearing in numerous advertising campaigns, she appeared on The Voice Kids Australia and played the co-leading role of Rose in the Netflix/ABC television series The Unlisted.

Miley Moore is a Filipino-Australian who was never bothered by their family’s nomadic life. He was born in Indonesia to a British father, whose work compelled them to live in Thailand for a few years and eventually in Australia. He grew up surrounded by powerful and enigmatic Filipino titas (aunties), which made it easy for him to connect with the Asian women’s narratives in Miss Saigon.

He studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, which introduced him to musical theatre. He joined The X Factor in the United Kingdom and later returned to his home in Australia to enter its local version of The Voice.

Now, he can’t wait to return to the Philippines, reconnect with his roots, and, most importantly, radiate this “slay-Asian” pride to the numerous fans of Miss Saigon.

Huckle is an award-winning Australian-American actor based in New York.

He holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory. Proud member of Actor's Equity Association in the United States, and MEAA Actors Equity in Australia. He also holds a Master of International Relations from the prestigious University of Melbourne.

Aside from being part of the international touring company of Miss Saigon, which premiered at the iconic Sydney Opera House, he has also been known as Tony in the Australian production of West Side Story and as part of the Dubai run of Les Misérables.

Morrison was well known for her recent portrayals of Sophie Sheridan, the lead role in the new Australian production of Mamma Mia, and Janice, in the Australian premiere of the new musical Come From Away.

Her career began as a member of the Children’s Chorus with Opera Queensland, before finishing her music theatre degree in 2012. Morrison went on to play Tracy in Dust for Queen’s Theatre/Brisbane’s Powerhouse, and toured internationally with a number of children’s musicals for Nickelodeon and Pen2Stage. Eventually, she bagged the lead role of Lisa in Ladies in Black in Queensland, Melbourne, and its national tour.

Another cast member of the Australian production of Mamma Mia, Francis, played Sky, Sophie’s love interest. But aside from his love for the timeless music of ABBA, Francis is also passionate about classical music, which landed him a spot in multiple productions of Phantom of the Opera. He trained extensively with Frances Wilson Fitzgerald at the Auckland Opera Studio and became a New Zealand Opera Freemasons chorus member until 2017. In 2015, Lewis won the Presidents Cup for most promising vocal artist at the North Shore Singing Competition and the John Bond Award at NZ Aria in 2016 for the most promising vocal artist.

His other stellar theatre credits include Jersey Boys, The Book of Mormon, and operas The Mikado, The Magic Flute, Othello, Turandot, Carmen, and Tosca.

Mossman is not a stranger to the Philippine performing arts industry as he played minor roles in the hit television series Dolce Amore and the critically acclaimed film Die Beautifulin 2016. This Filipino-Kiwi actor, born in New Zealand, earned an honours degree in music at the University of Otago. He became a resident performer at Resorts World Manila for two years as part of the vocal trio Primo. In 2016, he debuted onstage with Atlantis Theatrical’s adaptation of Fun Home, working alongside Broadway legend and original Kim, Lea Salonga. Also in Manila, he played Charlie Price in the Manila run of Kinky Boots and young Ebenezer in A Christmas Carol. Last year, he made his Australian theatre debut in Miss Saigon as Thuy, which he will be reprising for this year’s Manila leg of the international tour.

Filipino singer, musical theatre actress, and dancer, Dario gave pride to the Philippines as being part of the cast of Miss Saigon when its international tour premiered in Australia last year. She trained under the Marie Eugenie Theatre of the Assumption, UP Diliman Theatre Arts Department, and Repertory Philippines. At the age of 14, she made her professional theatre debut with Camp Rock. She was part of many other productions like Joseph the Dreamer (Trumpets), Ang Huling El Bimbo, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Annie (Newport Performing Arts Theater), Flashcard Tangle, and How We Got On (Company of Actors in Streamlined Theatre).

This was not the first time she raised the Filipino flag on the international stage, as Dario also participated in the 2015 World Hip Hop Championships in California. An exceptional dancer indeed, Dario is a member of a female P-pop group, Daydream.

The Miss Saigon company of 42 performers is completed by Michael Boyle, Carlo Boumouglbay, Ellie Chan, Shannon Cheong, Celine Cleveland, David Duketis, Natasha Dumlao, Gelina Enriquez, Sara Haruta, Leyton Holmes, Jiho Hwang, Emily Huynh, Mikaila Imaguchi, Patrick Jeremy, Hamish Johnston, Nicholas Kong, Vi Lam, Winchester Lopez, Robbie Mejica, Bailey Nathan-Park, Tetsuya Okubo, Atsushi Okumura, David Ouch, Tony Oxybel, Paloma Renouf, Annabelle Rosewarne, Jack Connor Rowan, Trevor Santos, Louis Stockil, Asmara Soekotjo, Tamsyn Thomas, Brad Veitch, Aday Velasco, Louisa Vilinne, and Sam Ward.

Miss Saigon has music by Schönberg with lyrics by Boublil and Richard Maltby, Jr, adapted from original French lyrics by Boublil, with additional lyrics by Michael Mahler. The new production is directed by Laurence Connor, with musical staging by Bob Avian and additional choreography by Geoffrey Garratt. The production design is by Totie Driver and Matt Kinley based on an original concept by Adrian Vaux; costume design by Andreane Neofitou; lighting design by Bruno Poet; projections by Luke Halls; sound design by Mick Potter; and orchestrations by William David Brohn. Music supervision is by Alfonso Casado Trigo and Guy Simpson, with associate choreography by Richard Jones and the Asian tour production is directed by Jean-Pierre Van Der Spuy.

The Asian tour of Miss Saigon is produced by GWB Entertainment, with the Manila season presented at The Theatre at Solaire by GMG Productions, with tickets on sale exclusively through TicketWorld.
