Belonging to Tang Wee Kit, son of the late Tang Choon Keng, whose family is behind the department store chain Tangs, it is the latest addition to transactions involving Singapore’s most prestigious properties.

Mansion sales in Singapore have seen a recent increase following a lull period, the latter attributed to rising interest rates and a large-scale ongoing money-laundering investigation. The latest exchanges involving GCBs include Sea’s billionaire founder Forrest Li’s wife’s SG$42.5 million purchase along Gallop Road, and the UOB chief executive Wee Ee Cheong’s youngest child, Grant Wee, who acquired a Ford Avenue GCB worth S$39.5 million.
