Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), an American architectural firm with storied roots, Aurelia Residences’ sculptural form nods to its distinctive location. To the northwest, residents experience the luminous city skyline. To the southwest, they have expansive views of Manila Golf Club and Forbes Park.

Stepping inside the space, one is fully immersed in a contemplative, effortlessly elegant environment. Curated by Francesca Muzio of FM Architettura, Aurelia Residences’ lobby is the pinnacle of the Philippines’ multifaceted design identity. Taking inspiration from the courtyard layout of a Hispanic villa, the intricate geometry of Filipino tiles and the sleek craftsmanship of Italian furniture, the spaces balance their impressive scale with a warm, grounded spirit.
The lobby of Aurelia Residences sets a compelling tone for the domestic scenes unfolding above. Its chandelier sculptures by Czech glass atelier Lasvit cascade down the entrance hall. To tie the elements together, the grand staircase has become a masterpiece in its own right. Featuring a large-scale weaving by Rita Nazareno and Gabby Lichauco, paired with the century-old craft of S.C. Vizcarra, the space infuses historic elements with contemporary flair.

Art is an essential medium in conveying the singular luxury of living within Aurelia’s walls. Its collection of over 50 artworks, curated by art consultant Miguel Rosales of Caramel Inc, equips residents with innumerable possibilities for reflection. French artist Francis Dravigny sets the stage in each wing lobby with pieces woven from abaca, copper and shell.
Here, Filipino artists display their most abstract depictions of modern life, from Gus Albor’s minimalist abstractions to Lenore RS Lim’s meditative prints. Other notable pieces are on display, including those from notable artists such as Rico Lascano, Kristian Somera, and Glenn Perez. Meanwhile, Eddie Santillan, Anton Quisumbing, Gil Corcuera, Cobie Cruz, and Rey Ejanda enrich Aurelia’s corridors and gathering spaces with a breadth of expression that starts meaningful conversations and enlivens the natural tapestry of daily life.
