Southlinks Estate has brought together industry leaders and visionaries for its “A Link to the Future” forum, a platform that explored the intersections of artificial intelligence, investments and sustainability
There’s a new township rising in the south. With sustainability at its core and luxury in its vision, Southlinks Estate is quickly becoming a coveted address and a clever play for investors with an eye on the future.
Spanning 34 hectares, this new development has been hailed by experts as “one of the last gems in the metropolis”, prized for its scale, prime setting and eco-minded design. “Here in Southlinks, sustainability is not just a mere buzzword. It’s about how this estate will improve in terms of investment and value,” says Architect Cathy Saldaña, who is leading the estate’s master plan.
“It’s about health, wellness, family and about creating pride of place,” she said at a recent forum on AI, tech, investment and sustainability,” she adds.

Nearly 60 per cent of the estate is dedicated to open spaces such as linear parks, pocket gardens and wide tree-lined walkways. Southlinks sets itself apart by preserving native tree species such as narra, ipil and ilang-ilang, a decision Saldaña said protects biodiversity while giving the community a distinctive identity.
The project rises as global investors increasingly weigh environmental and social governance (ESG) factors in their decisions.
For Santos Knight Frank CEO Rick Santos, this estate combines just the right ingredients needed to become the Philippines’ next Forbes Park. Santos, whose portfolio spans London’s Canary Wharf and the early blueprint of Bonifacio Global City, remarked that Southlinks has the makings of the next premier district, provided vision and infrastructure fall into place.
“Is this going to be like Forbes Park in the next 10 years?” he asks. “If you have a dream, if you have visionary people to get behind these projects, they do happen.”

Southlinks Estate is being brought to life by Kevin and Shirley Wong’s Heights Realty Inc, with Santos noting that high-end housing continues to hold firm even in turbulent markets. “In a world of constant change, property remains a safe harbour. Other assets rise and fall, but real estate stays steady. It may seem dull, yet it is the quintessential long-term hold,” he remarks.
Only 10 minutes from Alabang Town Centre, Southlinks enjoys direct links to MCX, CALAX, SLEX and the Skyway. Plot sizes span 400 to 1,200 square metres, while a 1.4-hectare clubhouse with sustainable credentials will anchor the community. Construction is timed so that homeowners can begin building by 2026.
