The exceptional dining experience and innovative culinary offerings are at the core of Novotel Manila Araneta City, earning it the best food & beverage title at the Accor Asia Awards 2023

In celebrating excellence in the hospitality industry, Novotel Manila Araneta City secured its position as a regional culinary leader. Hailed as the Best Food & Beverage (F&B) performer during the Accor Asia Awards 2023, Novotel Manila proved its unwavering dedication to providing exceptional dining and bar experiences.

The event, held in Jakarta, Indonesia, gathered at least 380 general managers from Asia along with key leaders from Accor’s global teams in the Middle East & Africa and Asia-Pacific, who shared valuable insights and fostered discussions on developing guest experiences, brand loyalty, and promoting women in leadership roles.

Among the participants, Novotel Manila emerged triumphant due to its outstanding performance across various criteria, reflecting the successful implementation of strategic plans set in the previous year. Aside from winning the Best F&B title, Novotel Manila also secured important nominations, including Best Loyalty Performance and Hotel of the Year, among five key categories.

At the heart of Novotel Manila’s success is collaboration, whether with its people or with the industries it works with, to provide its guests with exceptional services that reflect environmental sustainability and seasonal quality.

“It’s with great honour to be recognised by Accor as this year’s Best F&B performance not only in the Philippines but [in] the rest of the region,” says Maria Manlulu-Garcia, Novotel Manila Araneta City cluster GM and Accor’s first Filipino woman leader. “I give credit to all the ‘Heartists’ (referring to Novotel employees) for the creativity, dedication, and passion in providing guest experiences an extra mile during their stay and visit with us.”

Novotel Manila takes great pleasure in being a sustainable hotel, partnering with eco-friendly brands for everything from farming and packing to serving and plating food for guests.

“About sustainability, collaboration is the key. As hoteliers, we need to step in and say no, we want sustainability. We want to add to the environment. And this will need to be taught from myself– from the top to down,” Novotel Manila’s executive chef, Massi Pauletto shared.

The Accor Awards evaluated innovation, reputable performance scores, food safety standards, financial achievements, employee engagement, and impactful marketing efforts in the region.

Behind the success of the hotel brand are its signature dining outlets, such as Food Exchange Manila, Gourmet Bar by Novotel, Indulge Gelato, The 6th Manila, and Pana Indian Cuisine, as well as the meetings and banquets. Novotel Manila, the first Novotel brand of Accor in the Philippines, is located in the Philippines’ largest city, Quezon City.

“We are extremely pleased with reaching this milestone, thanking our colleagues for their dedication and hard work in meeting our goal of satisfying our guests,” the hotel’s F&B Director, May Malagamba, said. “This achievement proves our commitment to providing exceptional F&B services and products for our corporate clients and loyal hotel guests.”

Novotel Manila is among the 530 locations of the Novotel brand worldwide, which is part of Accor—a world-leading hospitality group comprising more than 5,200 properties across 110 countries.
