Widely considered one of the greatest filmmakers of all time, Kubrick is known for his iconic works such as Full Metal Jacket, Lolita and Eyes Wide Shut. Born in New York, Kubrick spent more than half his life in Hertfordshire, purchasing the property in 1965 and living there for 14 years. It was at this property where he managed the production, edited and distributed four of his best-known films: 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon and The Shining.
