SMEG's Divina Cucina collaboration with fashion giant, Dolce & Gabbana, is like its name implies, simply divine.
Style is serious business in Italy and when two powerhouses of Italian style collaborate, nothing less than magic happens. Luxury appliance manufacturer, SMEG, and fashion powerhouse, Dolce & Gabbana, have teamed up for the third time to launch a new drop of home appliances that celebrate their rich shared Italian heritage.

Named appropriately Divina Cucina which means the divine kitchen in Italian, the beautifully crafted appliances elevate an everyday appliance to true works of art.
This new range offers a new freestanding kitchen set and cooker hood with a coordinated Fab28 fridge adorned with intricate motifs referencing the colours and beauty of Sicily. It is a continuation of a journey that joins both brand's artistic sensibilities under the shared standard of creativity, art, and design.

The first motif is soothing ocean blue and pearl white print inspired by Italy’s celebrated maiolica ceramic pottery. Each appliance has been decorated with depictions of Mount Etna, the picturesque ruins of the Greek temple of Castor and Pollux in the Valley of the Temples, plus imagery steeped in mythology.

The second design is a joyous representation of the lush produce of Italy, with golden yellow lemons, prickly pears, bright red cherries and classic Sicilian decorations—these vivid illustrations are all framed by triangular geometric shapes known as Crocchi.

Above A joy to use and to behold
Reminiscent of the bucolic vegetation and landscapes of Southern Italy, the delicate motifs adorn the appliances in ways which emphasis their elegant lines. Another rich source of inspiration was Sicilian puppet theatre and traditional handpainted carts, which are appropriately brought to life in fiery red and orange tones.
