Designed by one of the most influential modern Danish designers Børge Mogensen, the Spanish Chair is perhaps one of the legendary design icon’s most celebrated pieces; the Spanish Chair is highly regarded as a representative of Danish design owing to its simple, function-driven style.

Inspired by the traditional Spanish way of making furniture with sturdy leather, Mogensen combined the high-quality material with solid oak to create a comfortable chair with a timeless appeal. Signature details include the chair’s wide armrests and geometric frame, as well as the adjustable straps and brass buckles hidden beneath and behind the chair.

The brainchild of Swiss designer Hannes Wettstein, the Delphi sofa adds a contemporary touch to any space with its clean aesthetic and streamlined silhouette. The modular sofa features a low back that’s aligned with its arms, which boasts unique curves that descend down the armrests. For optimum support and comfort, the sofa has been ergonomically designed with plush padding within the seat and back, thus reducing the need for cluttering the piece with cushions.

Named after the popular pastry due to its complex layered curves, the Croissant sofa by mid-century Danish architect and designer Illum Wikkelsø is a playful modernist take on the traditional Chesterfield sofas. Available in two editions—leather and fabric—the sofa makes for an eye-catching statement piece with its dynamic form. A trained craftsman, Wikkelsø created the sofa with meticulously hand-stitched flat-piping in the fabric editions, and leather piping in the leather versions.

Danish trained cabinetmaker Preben Juhl Fabricius joined forces with designer and blacksmith Jørgen Kastholm to design this sleek lounge chair inspired by a grasshopper’s form. A chrome-plated steel frame supports a softly cushioned aniline-leather body, which offers ergonomic neck support and full-body comfort, no matter the height of the person reclining.

A metal ring, two concentric cylinders and a pair of rotating quarter-sphere shades: the contemporary composition of the Gubi Multi-Lite lamp by Danish architect Louis Weisdorf lends it an enduring appeal. The collection, which consists of pendant lighting and floor lamps, also reflects Weisdorf’s passion for dynamic objects that can be changed by the user to involve them in the design process; the shades can be adjusted to transform the light trajectory.

Combining comfort with its timeless design, the Baseline sofa by Danish furniture designer Jens Juul Eilersen is upholstered with a super flexible layer of pre-compressed fiberfill, which optimises sitting comfort and offers a sense of plushness. Dine in style with the Ten dining table designed by DK3 founder Jacob Plejdrup, developed in collaboration with Danish designer Christian Troels. Crafted from sturdy solid wood, the large dining table is designed with strength and stability in mind. Sleek details like the beautiful vertical grooves of the legs and the slender, organic-shaped tabletop add to the table’s refined, light look.

Pair your dining table with charming minimalist seats like the Pia chairs by Poul Cadovius. Known for his iconic shelving systems, the elegant classics are the Danish designer’s first foray into designing chairs. Designed in 1959, the chair boasts a less is more concept that lends it a clean and understated look. Made of hand-woven paper cordel, each seat takes two hours to hand-weave. The chair also features thin, conical-shaped solid wooden legs and a moulded backrest for extra comfort.

Designed as four ‘islands’ that are meant to be arranged around a central coffee table or footrest, Couckhuyt wanted to allow one’s imagination to reign free with various seating possibilities—from an intimate sofa corner to an accommodating lounge island. Made from a composition of materials like polyurethane foam filling, aluminium structures and waterproof nautic leather or nautic textiles finish, the sculptural seats beckons one to sink into it and linger.
