Organised by homegrown brands Beaute Hub and Edupod, the theme of this children’s art competition is My Singapore, Our Future

Calling all budding young artists—a new art competition is here to let your talent shine bright.

Introduced for the first time, Beaute Hub-Edupod Junior Art Competition is giving little ones the chance to express their creativity, build confidence and develop their technical skills in the arts and crafts. The competition is jointly organised by homegrown brands Beaute Hub and Edupod, and organised in collaboration with Faber-Castell as the official art supplies partner.

The young participants will have to submit an A3-sized original artwork based on the theme of My Singapore, Our Future, and using Faber-Castell’s art materials by 24th December 2022; contestants will also have to provide photographic evidence of having used these creative tools.

Open to all Singaporean residents between the ages of 4 to 12, the art competition welcomes works created with a single medium, as well as mixed-medium work. These can include the use of mediums such as watercolour, acrylic, and oil paint, along with charcoal, graphite, and coloured ink.

The art competition will have two categories for the different age groups: Category A for 4 to 6-year-old budding artists and Category B for 7 to 12-year-old talents. BeauteHub and Edupod will also give 30 lucky finalists the platform to showcase and put their winning works up for auction in a public art exhibition. All proceeds from the sale of each artwork will be donated to support The Business Times Budding Artists Fund, a charitable initiative by the local newspaper.

“Beaute Hub has aligned itself as a wellness sanctuary; one to be taken care of and feel good about themselves. Art allows one to embark on a journey of self-care, and more so, an expression of creativity. This competition gives our young talents an opportunity to be inspired and showcase their talents,” shares Albert Lam, chief executive officer of Beaute Hub International.

Judged by a panel comprising seven established Southeast Asian artists represented by Gallery 1819 Singapore, platinum winners of each category will also receive a cash prize of $500 and a collection of products valued at $500 from presenting sponsors that include local brands Bynd Artisan, CSG Global, D&A Jewellery, Raffles Paint, Pizzamaru, Scanteak, and Seoul Yummy.
