Cover Conum taps add the finishing flourish to a stylish bathroom

Innovative and crafted, Villeroy & Boch’s Conum tap collection is as precise as it is stylish

Like a statement accessory that makes a fashionable ensemble, the right tap adds a finishing flourish to a bathroom. Consider Villeroy & Boch’s Conum tap range, where designer Christian Haas has created unique objects that bring together delicate and solid design elements to form a sculptural composition.

Precise and uncompromising in both its design and workmanship, Haas’s’ signature symbiosis of understatement and originality is evident with Conum.

The German design combines different style elements—the slim, straight spout blending into a strong body, then flowing smoothly into the horizontal—for a sculptural object that is truly unique in character.  This combination of different volumes and levels ultimately creates surprising geometries that interact with the room.

The innovative operating lever allows the lever to glide instead of tipping when opened, in turn eliminating the need for the otherwise necessary recess. As for the standing pipe, the lever can be placed in different positions which gives the tap additional height when above the spout, whereas it deliberately takes a back seat to accentuate the shape when attached to the body on the side.

The three-hole version of the tap body also makes a clear design statement. To give it a sleeker look, the Conum tap can be installed directly on the ceramic without a rose.

To ensure maximum hygiene, the tap is equipped with an integrated laminar aerator which produces a virtually splash-free water flow. This laminar flow minimises the production of aerosols, which could contain disease-causing bacteria.

The Conum range consists of five washbasin taps, including a model with a higher base and three bath taps. Two concealed taps and two concealed thermostats are available for showers, while a bidet tap rounds off the selection.

Conum’s distinctive lines combine beautifully with Villeroy & Boch’s premium ceramic collections with different effects. When paired with the Finion line, it creates a luxurious bathroom atmosphere with its elegant design and a contemporary look is achieved when combined with the Memento 2.0 range.

When interacting with the Antheus collection, which Haas also designed, Conum emphasises the balanced proportions and geometric contours of the ceramics with panache.
