Inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s ‘Sunflowers’ and developed in collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the special-edition kitchen collection by Teka explores the meeting point of artistic expression, thoughtful design and everyday functionality
Art has long found its place in the home through paintings, sculpture and carefully considered objects. In the contemporary kitchen, however, its influence can extend beyond the decorative, shaping the character of a space used as much for gathering and everyday rituals as it is for cooking.
For Teka, this idea takes form in the Van Gogh Museum Edition, a special-edition kitchen collection inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflowers, exploring how artistic expression can find a place in the everyday.

Developed in collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam—which preserves and conserves the world’s largest collection of works by the artist—the collection draws on Van Gogh’s expressive use of colour and emotion, translating the inspiration of the still life oil paintings from the 1880s into a restrained visual language suited to modern interiors.
Rather than relying on overt references to the painting, the collection adopts a palette of deep and neutral tones, accented by champagne-coloured stainless-steel details. The contrast lends the appliances a sense of warmth and depth, while their minimalist, elegant aesthetic allows them to sit comfortably within a considered kitchen scheme.

For homeowners, interior designers and architects, the Van Gogh Museum Edition is one expression of Teka’s approach to reimagining the kitchen’s role within the home: not simply as a space for cooking, but as an integral part of its wider design narrative.
Spanning ovens, microwaves, induction and gas hobs, extractor hoods and combi fridges, each piece incorporates Van Gogh’s authentic signature and the original Sunflowers sketch, reflecting the possibilities of a kitchen that is as considered in its aesthetic as it is in its purpose.

“The Teka Van Gogh Museum Edition is the perfect fusion of art and innovation, where Van Gogh’s visionary spirit meets cutting-edge design,” says Leonardo Capelas Romeu, global design manager at Teka.
“Just as he transformed the ordinary into the extraordinary, we have reimagined everyday kitchen appliances as a canvas for creativity—an invitation to bring beauty, passion, and inspiration into the heart of your home,” he adds.
