Bianca Monzon-Cueva curates a timeless Parisian home

Bianca Monzon-Cueva moves fluidly between worlds; fashion, interiors, and cultural enterprise, shaping a career defined by both precision and imagination. Now based in Paris, she has transformed a classic Haussmann apartment into a study in modern restraint, where clean lines and neutral tones meet the quiet confidence of vintage design. Her style speaks the language of longevity: timeless, edited, and quietly luxurious. A fun-loving unofficial ambassador to Paris, she is often the first stop for many Tatler friends when we visit Paris!

Before turning to interiors, Monzon-Cueva built her foundation in fashion and product development, working with global houses such as Ralph Lauren on projects that ranged from boys’ collections to high-profile collaborations like Wimbledon and the Olympic Games.

In parallel, she co-founded Agence Le Bon Mot, an initiative that introduces Filipino craftsmanship to European markets; proof that her vision of luxury remains grounded in cultural storytelling. Her work, whether through interiors or design advocacy, continues to bridge Manila and Paris, tradition and modernity, with the kind of elegance that feels both studied and spontaneous.

Within the high ceilings and quiet symmetry of her Paris apartment, Monzon-Cueva has curated an environment that reflects both her global life and her personal calm. She shares her beloved pieces with Tatler, "I always gravitate towards the first pieces I bought for my home even before we started designing it! The first three are what you would call my true coup de cœur".

The Gae Aulenti Metafora Table

This was my first purchase once we bought our flat. We had zero vision on what our new home would look like, but I just had to procure this piece. With the four geometric marble shapes as base and a simple glass square, it became the pivotal piece of our most used room in the house and served unknowingly as the theme around which we would buy our future pieces - minimalist, timeless and as always - practical in modern, everyday use.

Art Deco Dining Chairs

These art deco chairs also caught my eye quickly and although there were only six left for our long table, I knew I had to have them. I originally didn’t place them as dining chairs since my table seats twelve, but my interior architect convinced me that it’s more chic to have six beautiful chairs than twelve ordinary crowded ones filling the space. In the end, he was quite right!

Electric blue Pierre Paulin Tulip Chair

I bought this purely out of falling in love with the pièce; I had no idea how the chair would fit in with the future vision of our home especially because of its ultra vibrant pop color—but we made it work! This now is our favorite corner of our home, and it sits beside another loved item, this funky Gofreddo Reggiani lamp and Vern Romualdez’s graphic art straight from San Francisco.

Monkey Wallpaper and Brass Tiles

It was tricky to animate a tiny dull bathroom that these Parisian apartments come with, so I opted to make it a little bit wacky with monkeys! I matched it with funky bronze shimmering tiles and matte gold modern fixtures to give it that disco glow. Do you like it?

Fish Scale Tiles

These muted grey fish scale tiles still soothe me when I enter my daughters’ bathroom (minus their skincare and mess!). Paired with these matte bronze fixtures and serene lighting—it’s actually one of the most calming rooms in the flat!
