In a private Miami residence, artist and designer Alex Proba has transformed a swimming pool into a vibrant underwater art installation. Collaborating with Mexican ceramics studio Cerámica Suro, Proba designed and installed over 8,000 hand-glazed tiles, creating a mosaic that depicts an abstract interpretation of coral reefs. As sunlight filters through the water, the mosaic comes alive, offering swimmers an immersive experience that blurs the line between art and environment.

Settled on Mexico’s Pacific coastline, Cuixmala’s swimming pool is a captivating blend of saffron yellow, cobalt blue, and terracotta orange. These bright hues reflect the estate's architectural influences from Spain, North Africa, and Mexico. Hand-painted tiles line the pool, adding intricate patterns that enhance its visual appeal.
