Furnishing company Kare opens its doors at Shangri-La at The Fort
The opening of a new store is always a joyous occasion. It is full of anticipation and hope for what the future can bring.
When Kare, the purveyor of home furnishing and accessories from Germany, opened its third branch last week at the Arcade of Shangri-La The Fort, guests flocked to the store, eager to see what was on offer. The evening, organised by Tatler, started off with a bountiful cocktail spread with chilled Cava, rose wine from Provence and Gin & Tonics. There was a fun opening ceremony featuring the Mayor of Taguig, Lani Cayetano, the Kare owners Ivan Yao, Emerson Yao, Roy Chua and Marnie Chua and foreign principal Andrea Hocking, plus other special guests pulling large ribbons to signify that the store was officially in business.

For more than three decades, Kare has represented individual furnishing ideas and sensuous collections, non-conformist and authentic, never boring, sometimes a little crazy but always bursting with imagination. It is the brand’s promise to pick up on decisive trends on the market and then make these both available and affordable.
Kare is an attitude to life. They enjoy freedom and this is why when developing collections, they think in terms of furnishing worlds and lifestyle patterns rather than simply considering the weights, dimensions and materials of individual products.
