DesignPhilippines showcases Filipino craftsmanship at Europe’s premier trade fairs, presenting natural materials and artisan collaborations at Maison&Objet Paris and Ambiente Frankfurt in early 2026
While the Philippines hones its design credentials locally with the launch of the Likhang Filipino Exhibition Halls, the nation’s creative prowess prepares for a compelling European showcase. DesignPhilippines, the banner programme of the Centre for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), returns to two of the continent’s most influential trade fairs in early 2026: Maison&Objet in Paris and Ambiente in Frankfurt.
From January 15th to the 19th, DesignPhilippines will be presenting Artipelago III at Maison&Objet, one of the world’s leading platforms for home, lifestyle and design. This year’s fair theme, “Past Reveals Future”, proves particularly resonant as it mirrors precisely how Filipino brands draw from heritage whilst innovating products for global markets.

Unforgettable exhibitions of Philippine design

Artipelago III features 14 homegrown brands working with natural materials such as rattan, bamboo, stone, abaca and indigenous weaves. The showcase spans furniture, home décor and lighting, with each piece created through collaboration with artisan communities across the archipelago.
This deep connection to local cultures distinguishes Filipino design in international markets, leaving an undeniable fingerprint of care and curiosity on each piece. Expect sculptural silhouettes, tactile finishes and materials transformed in unexpected ways, all contributing to a visual narrative of the Philippines’ diverse cultural landscape.
Participating exhibitors include 51 All Weather, Aerostone, Beatriz Accessories, Bon Ace, Calfurn, CSM, Finali, Galerie D’Antoine, Mele + Marie, Nature’s Legacy, Prizmic & Brill, Schema, Moodism, Tahanan and WeaveManila. The range encompasses modern outdoor furniture, durable stone pieces, fine bone china dining accessories, woven rugs and contemporary lighting.

A bolder presence at Ambiente Frankfurt

The momentum continues at Ambiente, running from 6th to 10th February 2026 in Frankfurt. One of Europe’s leading consumer goods trade fairs, Ambiente draws global players across dining, living and gifting sectors, offering insights into how design responds to evolving lifestyles and markets.
According to curator and industry expert Bernd Schellenberg, Ambiente 2026 leans into colour and emotion, drawing from Ambiente Trends 26+ and its three guiding themes: brave, light and solid. These emphasise materiality, mood and adaptability, all of which are qualities inherent to Filipino craftsmanship.
Individual exhibitors include 33 Point 3 Exports, Aerostone, Albertina, Arte Cebuana, Calfurn, Coast Pacific, Conway Designs, CSM Philippines, Dela Cruz House of Piña, Freden, Green Inc., Jireh Forge, Klassy Collections, L’Auras, Nature’s Legacy, Orient Meadow, Robles Heritage, Studiomoodism, TADECO Home, Lija by That One Piece Enterprise, WeaveManila and Zarate Manila.
Group participants from Cocotech or Juboken, FGM Merchandising, Fulgosino Enterprise, Natural Carpet Industries, RCB Crafts and Designs and Shelmed Cottage Treasure join the pavilion, alongside the Mindanao Trade Expo Foundation (supported by DTI Region 11 and Malikhaing Pinoy). Completing the lineup is the Bicol region, supported by DTI Region 5, the Provincial Government of Albay and PhilExport.

For CITEM, these European appearances transcend export targets. They demonstrate Filipino makers’ skills, the value of local resources and the role of sustainability in contemporary design. The pavilions illustrate how culture, craftsmanship and responsible production converge in competitive international markets.
“With the great reception from 2025’s European trade shows, the coming year is promising for Filipino products to shine once again in Maison et Objet and Ambiente,” notes CITEM executive director Leah Pulido Ocampo. “These efforts cultivate our banner programme DesignPhilippines to become a leading source of contemporary home and lifestyle products rooted in material innovation and cultural craft.”
