Bespoke Doors and Furniture celebrates 10 years as the exclusive Philippine distributor of Rimadesio, among notable Italian luxury design brands like Frette, Oikos and more
In the rarified world of Italian design, few enterprises can strike a balance between curiosity and sophistication quite like Bespoke Doors and Furniture. The company’s unexpected beginnings took root a decade ago, when founder Andrew Ng was searching for the door that would complete his own home’s unique personality.
Unable to find what he envisioned locally, Ng looked to Italy, where he discovered Rimadesio. The Italian brand’s attention to detail was so impactful that, beyond installing their doors in his home, Ng became Rimadesio’s sole distributor in the Philippines. The advent of Bespoke Doors and Furniture ushered in a new chapter of Italian sophistication in the Philippine market.
Fast forward a decade, and BDF has evolved into a bountiful representation of multiple design houses, including Oikos, Arflex, Glamora, Amini, Frette and Viccarbe. Each brand, personally curated by Ng during regular pilgrimages to Milan’s design fairs, embodies a philosophy refreshingly immune to the fleeting nature of trends.

“Design may be subjective, trends may pass, but craftsmanship is timeless,” shared the company. And it is this unwavering conviction that sets BDF apart in an increasingly saturated market. Their selection criteria are delightfully uncompromising: innovation, ecological responsibility and, most crucially, a meaningful story that flows seamlessly into the home of each client. Some find appeal in Rimadesio’s solar energy and use of water-based paints; others are captivated by Frette’s century-long heritage.
Last October, BDF marked its tenth anniversary with Modernity Flow – Extended, a showcase of Rimadesio’s latest collection created by Giuseppe Bavuso. The pieces, which include the sculptural Lambda tables and inviting Sinua chairs, exemplify a distinctive fusion of Oriental and Nordic Wabi flair. Each piece carries the fingerprint of Rimadesio’s meticulous functionality, while catering to modern sensibilities.

The Manila showroom at MDi Corporate Center in Bonifacio Global City has been refreshed to accommodate these new arrivals, offering visitors a dynamic setting to experience the evolution of Italian contemporary style. For those who've followed BDF's journey, the space has become an opportunity to connect with the Philippines’ thriving design scene, inviting fruitful conversations among architects, interior designers and discerning collectors to shine through.
Looking ahead, Bespoke Doors & Furniture envisions a future shaped by sustainability and technology, engaging the two forces in a dialogue that sets the stage for the most innovative, compelling pieces. Ten years on, Ng’s vision remains at the heart of Bespoke Doors & Furniture, inviting each person to literally and figuratively open the door to myriad opportunities for the convergence of personal taste and timeless craftsmanship to continue thriving.
