Designed by Ed Ong, founder of Dwell Interior Design, this four bedroom residence features a luxurious and contemporary interior. The sociable homeowners love hosting friends and family, and as such, requested for a large living space with adequate seating for entertaining guests. Ong thoughtfully crafted the elegant abode with marble, metal accents, and several collections from Minotti, an Italian furnishings brand that the couple loves.

2. A nature-inspired abode with lush green terraces

Nature has a calming effect and can help significantly reduce feelings of stress and anxiety. This corner terrace house in the western part of Singapore embodies the concept of nature by immersing its occupants in flourishing greenery. Designed by Foma Architects for a family of horticulture enthusiasts, the relaxing residence is clad in Chengal wood and travertine, and decked with planter boxes all around.  

The home’s innovative design and green concept has earned it the Best Tropical Concept accolade at the Tatler Design Awards 2021

3. An eco-conscious house designed with sustainability in mind

Sustainability and serenity characterises this bungalow crafted by DP Architects for a multigenerational family. The tropical architecture features verdant courtyards, roof terraces, backyards and water bodies. Clever use of natural light and solar generators create a green haven for both current and future generations.

4. A vintage-influenced abode filled with art and antiques

The home of fashion designer Elyn Wong and her husband, this stunning Good Class Bungalow is brimming with the couple’s extensive collection of vintage furniture and antiques. The charming abode boasts cross-cultural decor elements and a large expanse of wood flooring, creating a handsome and enchanting interior.

The work of Gabriel Tan, founder of design studio Antimatter, this two-storey penthouse apartment accedes to the homeowner’s request for ample socialising spaces. Home to a family of three, the contemporary penthouse features a varied material palette accompanied by luxury furnishings. The social living areas are designed with a glamorous flair, whilst the bedrooms and bathrooms are kept minimalistic for a soothing touch.

6. A minimalist house with a curved staircase as its focal point

Dubbed the Cove House, this semi-detached property exudes a warm and relaxed atmosphere with its surrounding foliage. Designed by Ming Architects, the home’s striking focal point is a large spiral staircase that is situated at the intersection of the dining room and the pool. The eye-catching feature cuts through the transparent glass walls and draws attention to the idyllic view outside.

7. A multigenerational house with a gold staircase and a curved facade

With three generations under its roof, this home crafted by Meta Architecture features an innovative facade created out of a blend comprising quartz, minerals and mica. To create a mixture of both private and communal spaces for its occupants, the two-and-a-half storey interior includes two additional internal mezzanine levels. A stylish staircase framed by a golden metal screen forms a structural highlight that connects the living spaces together.

8. A cosy, chic abode that celebrates vintage pieces

Actress Janice Koh’s abode is a welcoming space that features a thoughtful collection of vintage art and furnishings. The semi-detached house, constructed in the 1970s, contains a mellow charm and is filled with Koh’s vintage finds that she treasures.

The calming resort feel of the home is exemplified by the generous balcony area as well as a Japanese zen garden on the terrace.
