With its choice complement of acoustic products from the made-in-Italy brand Caimi, Singapore-based firm T1 Elements is a firm on a mission to reduce excessive noise, create comfort, and foster well-being in homes.
Founded in 2018 as T1 Glass, which dealt with acoustic glazed partitions, the company evolved to offer both practical and decorative modular acoustic products that have kept pace with today’s sophisticated interior design schemes.

Why should homeowners consider sound-absorbing products?
Eugene Ng (EN) In this new era, the hybrid work trend means most people will be at home more frequently. A quieter environment will be more beneficial to one’s well-being and health, as noise pollution can harm your hearing, make you feel irritable, distract you from work and disrupt your thinking. Sound-absorbing products will reduce unwanted noise and enhance the environment you live and work in, to create engaging multisensorial spaces and experiences, and happier ears.

What are your bestsellers?
EN The Caimi Blade modular shelving system is popular; it features a back made of durable yet extremely thin frameless sound-absorbing panels. The Caimi Snowpouf is another in-demand product that is perfect for when you need an extra seat or to simply rest your feet. Another collection, the Caimi Art series, features art pieces with sound-absorption fabric so you can express your artistic taste while absorbing extra noise.

Which products are your personal favourites?
EN I like the Botanica leaf-shaped panels, they’re almost like an oasis in a concrete jungle and create a nature-inspired atmosphere that makes me feel more relaxed, yet energised. I also have a Blade shelving system in my own home. It offers practical storage space for my children’s books and makes my common area more cosy and cheerful with its colourful panels.
What tips can you offer first-time buyers of acoustic products?
EN First, look at the material used in the panel, as the level of sound absorption depends on the density of the fabric that forms the internal padding. Also, avoid fabric that contains formaldehyde, which can harm your health. Then, decide what kind of design would best suit your interior. Lastly, be aware of the dimensions of the room and the materials used on your walls and ceiling, as this information will help the consultant determine how many panels you need to reduce echo and reverberation.
