Here are seven Gen.T honourees who are using the power of artificial intelligence to improve healthcare, safety in the workplace and more

In October 2021, Google claimed to have created an Artificial Intelligence (AI) that is capable of designing computer chips much faster than humans. Fast forward to today, AI is ubiquitous. The widespread adoption of tools like ChatGPT in late 2022 has revolutionised how we communicate, learn, and create. AI applications now enhance human capabilities and create new opportunities and challenges, from voice assistants and self-driving cars to drug discovery and financial analysis.

In the Gen.T List 2023, several honourees across Asia are leveraging AI technology to innovate, elevate their business and make the world a better place. Read about seven of them below.

Irzan Raditya launched Kata.ai, Indonesia’s first conversational artificial intelligence platform, in 2016. The company, which doubled its earnings in 2022, has transformed the way businesses interact with their customers through the use of intelligent chatbots, processing more than two billion conversations. Irzan is also behind Gaspack.xyz, a creators-first initiative building a more inclusive NFT ecosystem.

Jennifer Zhang

Where Singapore

Jennifer Zhang's voice AI platform Wiz.AI delivers automated customer interactions in Asian languages using accents so accurate that 95 percent of users do not know they are talking to a machine. In 2022, it was named as a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer and raised $30 million in a funding round. In 2023, Wiz.AI launched TalkGPT, a ChatGPT-powered solution for customer engagement campaigns.

Meidy Fitranto

The on-site and cloud-based platform has provided intelligent video analytics for security at projects such as the Asian Games, the IMF-World Bank Group meetings in 2018, and Jakarta's smart city initiatives to manage crowds, traffic, and floods.

With a name that means “watch over” in Latin, Invigilo can alert companies in industries such as construction, transport and manufacturing to potential accidents. Its clients include Singapore's Land Transit Authority, ST Engineering and port operator, PSA International.

Robotics expert Andy Li Luyang, its co-founder and CEO, has published more than 20 academic papers in internationally renowned journals, and holds more than 50 technology and product design patents.

Most companies these days need to prepare sustainability reports. Sustaihub makes it easier to do so with an automated tool that collects sustainability data and uses AI to analyse it, also allowing organisations to make more sustainable decisions. Founder Lee Cheng Pei worked as an ESG consultant before establishing the company in 2019.
