The 88rising rapper recently made his acting debut in the Justin Chon-directed movie 'Jamojaya'

Rapper Rich Brian debuted a new song at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival called Sundance Freestyle to celebrate the debut of his movie Jamojaya.

The music video for the latest single by the rapper, signed under the record label 88rising, was directed by Daniel Cloud Campos, a frequent collaborator of Brian. In Jamojaya, Brian portrays a movie star preparing to discuss his leading part on a talk show while the set degenerates into pandemonium.

Veteran actor Justin Chon directed the film, which he previously characterised as a 'break-up drama' between a father and son. In the film, Brian is an aspiring rapper whose growing fame causes a schism between him and his father, played by Yayu Uru.

The friction arises when Brian's character chooses to transfer control of his career to a new management and label even though his father had mentored him since the beginning of his career.

The film also stars Kate Lyn Sheil, Henry Ian Cusick and Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis.
