The Singapore-started project co-founded 2021 Gen.T honouree Clement Chia released its first animated video for kids on YouTube last week

NFT project Imaginary Ones has launched a new subsidiary to target the children’s market. Imaginary Junior will offer kids content, such as nursery rhymes and children’s songs, through YouTube and TikTok.

Co-founded by 2021 Gen.T honouree Clement Chia and David Lee, Imaginary Ones first launched in April 2022 with an NFT collection comprising 8,888 animated characters that sold out in 4 minutes. To date, the collection is said to have generated more than 12,000 Ethereum (about US$20 million) in sales on NFT marketplace OpenSea.

Imaginary Junior’s first release is an animated rendition of the popular children’s song, Wheels on the Bus, featuring the sub-brand’s six main characters. The classic song’s lyrics have also been adapted to tell the story of Imaginary Ones.

“Imaginary Ones was born from a single spark of inspiration to spread love and positivity, and we hope to inculcate these shared values in every child through the use of creative and engaging content,” says Chia in a press release announcing the sub-brand’s launch.

The video was animated by Offset, a digital creative agency that Chia also co-founded. The brand also has plans to create original nursery rhymes in the future.

Imaginary Ones also recently launched a staking platform to allow its NFT holders to lock up their NFTs and earn rewards from doing so.
